so the new stock they get everyday you'll have to reserve them online to pick up next day? or there's still ppl walking in to pick them up as they come? it really defeats the purpose if people can randomly walk into pick one up and then there's none left for the ppl to reserve online to pickup. and does stock release at 9pm every night on that reserve site? i gave it to my gf's bro who's going back to china so i need to pick up another one ~~

From what I saw and heard, staffs at Apple stores are telling walk-in customers wanting to buy the iPad2 to reserve it online.

You could try authorized retailers if you want to walk in and get one

what cases are you ipad 2 owners using? i was contemplating a smart cover, but since it doesnt protect it at all, i decided against it. i was fortunate enough to find a targus 360 degree rotating stand/case . it was the last one at FS at lansdowne

i just went with a invisible shield back piece and the smart cover.

I got mine yesterday thanks to the online reservation system.

covers the back that i don't have to worry about scratching, and allows me to put on a smart cover :D keeps the look of the ipad 2 and is protected~ unless i drop it lol, even then a case still doesn't necessary prevent it from denting :P

Received my generic black tpu skin from eBay today. Did a smooth cutout to put my black smart cover on. Looks awesome! Full protection :-)

You posted at the beginning of this thread you only bought your Viewsonic tablet expressly for use in the car and nothing else. So why make a comment that it sits next to your laptop thus insinuating that tablets are useless? Clearly you find them useful since you bought one for a specific purpose.


Of course you would say something like this. At the beginning of this thread you made a huge post about all the people you see travelling doing useless things on their iPads. You then make the conclusion: This is why the iPad is a fail, even though people buy them. An expensive piece of equipment wasted on doing menial, trivial things, that would be far more efficient on a laptop or iPhone.

I replied that I see people playing solitaire on their laptops and asked if that made laptops useless. You had no comeback for this. I simply reiterated what I said before (that people buy laptops and don't use them) and you say I'm getting butthurt?

The only people that aren't getting butthurt are the people that don't care - either side of the fence.

On other news, my iPad 1 seems to run a bit better with the 4.3.1 firmware...

New TSN app for the iPad was released. Great UI. NHL game center and hockey central apps sucked. Just in time for the playoffs :-)

I made that comment because that IS what it's doing at the moment and has been doing since I bought it. The plan was to use it on road trips but my most recent trip, I ended up using my phone for navigation instead so no, I don't really have a use for it. Maybe I'll return to this thread when people start talking more about the product itself rather than where to get it.
