A bunch of my friends got theirs tonight. I'm sticking with my first gen...the update isn't enough to convince me to buy a new one.

Went to Bellevue and was like 300th in line. I couldn't afford to wait in the line since I had to make it to a buddies party at 9 so I left halfway through. On my way home I went by the Lynnwood Bestbuy and actually secured a White 32GB Wifi. They had all the 3G models in stock at the position in my line too. Sucks that BB is only one per customer tho. In the end came home a happy camper. Now time to resell lol.

At 11am, I spotted a fedex guy and followed his shipment to the Apple store. They only have blacks but nothing in white, didn't get any. I don't think blacks will sell on CL...

They had about 30 on the dolley.

So it appears the graphics hardware of the iPad 2 really flies. Basically it's at least twice as fast as the Xoom (and sometimes even faster).

Take that, Motorola. :)

Toucharcade Benchmarks

Got back last night:
- each Best Buy got 25 at launch date, and are now taking preorders only, even when they get restocked
- Target will sell whatever they get when they restock (mid week)
- Wal Mart will sell whatever they get when they restock (mid week as well)
- Apple Stores (2 near the Seattle area) sell when they restock (everyday)

Best way to get one: ask Target or Wal Mart if people have returned unopened ones. Me and a friend went down yesterday, and my friend got one just because some people are returning them unopened the day after the launch (for whatever reason).

Maybe he/she realized that no one even contacted them about the 150% over msrp item even thou he/she spammed craigs for the last 24 hrs. Too much hassle to drive all the way back to return it casue lets face it, once 25th hits everyone and his dog will have one and basically seller would be fucked. (unless he plans to use it himself)

Anyone going down this week?
