Acura TSX Club : Acura TSX Forum

Found this on the tsxclub website, $271 for dr400II with power magic pro, not a bad deal.

sdubfid 09-21-2012 03:04 PM

Just got the dr400II and powermagic pro from asr.

Kind of ironic this driver runs a stop sign when their website has a blog dedicated to safety.

It's a rip off since you also have to pay $9 shipping making it $54 after tax. It is $32 at dx.com everyday and includes free shipping.

Definitly cheap price.

However, the dash cam is just useless in night time even you turn on the little LED. I have been tested this kind model before.

DJ Milk 10-05-2012 12:42 PM

If you spend at least $60 on dx you can find some decent car dvrs and you also have hundreds of cameras to choose from. But none of them can compare to the blackvue.

Just a little question, anyone is rolling with PaPago dash cam??

Sometimes I use my phone as a cam, but most of the time I am either texting or have it up to my ear.

If you have HID, it's bright enough for the video to record that you didn't hit the other person tho.

Indecisive Acura TL, L driver that wanted to turn right, then didn't want to, then wanted to again, so they cut off the car on the right that was ready to go.

beproud 10-12-2012 03:59 PM

I seriously considering getting one installed on my next car eh. Some ass ran into my car and tried to sue me....... In the end, the individual lost, so I dodge a bullet.......

Yup. Even with perfect weather in the sun, you can't even make out the plates on the car in front of you. I used mine for autoX and it came out like this.

DJ Milk 10-23-2012 11:54 PM

So this is my 4th camera and the 2nd one I ordered from dx.com. Comes with a front and back camera. This only thing sucks about this one is the time stamp but overall video is not bad in the rain in 720p. $79 CDN shipped.

asr 10-24-2012 09:10 AM

^not bad, but the lens angle is not wide. For the price, it is good. How is the body design?

DJ Milk 10-24-2012 11:23 AM

I don't like wide angle lens cause it makes the images distorted. Anything between 90-120 degree is perfect for me. It is a 120 degree lens and I believe the blackvue is the same angle. Body design is a bit thicker then a Blackberry Bold with a rotating lens.

asr 10-24-2012 11:29 AM

^well that's cool, do you have a picture of the body design? Would you mind show me the web link? From the video, I can tell the lens is 110 degree maximum but it does make you satisfied. Good price to buy.

DJ Milk 10-24-2012 11:37 AM

Maybe it's because I mounted this camera on the passenger side at a slanted level so I can get the driver side in for testing purposes. I already have another camera in the location where I would normally mount it. If I mounted it perfectly level on the passenger side, then most of the driver side wouldn't be in the video.
