but if you guys think about it, the same thing would have happened if another car turned left at the intersection into that lane. the front car would still have caused an accident since he didn't spot check.

If anyone's interested..here's an unboxing video on Abee V30 1080p dash cam.

My friend got pull over by the cop because he touch the screen dash camera when he was driving. $109 ticket. Make sure install the proper place, and do not obstruct your driving view. But dash cameras with screens are all very big not like finevu or blackvue

What's the current availability of the Blackvue DR400G-HD?

Any / Best place to get it locally?

Did your friend say which part of the MVA he got the ticket for? It could be disputable!

Thanks! Abee V30 can be operated with the screen off though.

Yeah, for sure he is going to dispute because he took the sd card off before the cop took it away.

$109 ticket? the cop must have seen him playing with it while driving, as in most of his attention was on the device instead of the road.

I've got a window mount for my cell, i've passed many cops before and never gotten any looks or tickets for it.

^I don't know he play it or not. He said he didn't. Let's see how's the dispute result.

here is a shitty driver cross red. Skip to 1:30

Just spotted the blackvue selling at a new auto store "ace auto" at crystal mall. Don't know how much, but these things have really come down in price on eBay! No groupbuy and it's $180 USD now. On a side note, I bought the imitation version for my dad called the "blackview" and it's pretty decent at less than 1/3 the price. It's funny that the cheaper version comes with a LCD display screen.

TOS'd 06-17-2012 11:17 AM

I actually prefer not having an LCD screen.

yeah, me too, but it's like you're getting more for your money! Well, minus the picture quality... imitation one is "decent" but can't compare it to blackvue

MG1 06-17-2012 08:06 PM

I might bite the bullet and go with the Blackvue now that the prices have dropped. I was hoping something similar would come out, but it looks like nothing beats the night time recording quality of the Blackview **tight, blue, shiny dress** If I had a Blackview back then, you know I'd upload it on RS.

I still hear of people having problems with the Blackvue. I guess it's hit and miss like everything else out there. I guess I'll request older firmware and see how it goes.

I've been having no issues on the latest firmware. Also been using a class 10 card.

Aside from the mic getting destroyed by the cabin noise, the video quality is superb. I highly recommend it!

Again, people. No discussions of group buys or the like in this thread. Points from here on out.

What kind of camera is that? The picture's very clear, and I'm thinking about picking one up myself pretty soon

Sky_High 06-26-2012 09:06 PM

What's the cheapest price for the DR400 now a days? Around $170?

Or have anyone seen it for lower?
