witnessed an accident today. Helped out by giving them my contact and posting up a link to the video I told them I recorded. Being a good samaritan I guess.

Running a GS2000 using the Amberella chip.
not bad for day light but even after EV+/- settings it gets hard to read plates after dark.
iPaid 1/3 of what a DR500 or FineVu costs.

I was under the same impression as LuHua. I don't want Parking mode recording if nothing is going on. it's a waste of space and unnecessary drain of the battery. So how do i fix this to make it work the way i want it to?

lower motion sensitivity and g sensor sensitivity.

i forgot to lock my car last night. my fault :okay: took my gum bottle full of change, some lindt chocolate and my 16gb USB drive with my music :(
happened around 4:44am

according to my neighbor's dash cam, it had 6000K HIDs passenger side headlight was out. his cam was alot blurrier than mine. but it caught him stopping by my car for a few seconds, then moving on to the next car.

remember to lock your cars!
don't rly care bout the things that were stolen, but i feel like my car just got raped =\

anyone personally tried this dash cam?

DVR 027 720p | Dash Cam Talk

it's rated #1 on this website and not to mention it's appealing price.

I have/had it.

Its bulky, almost like a escort radar detector size. Video quality is good but sound pickup is slightly off

OMFG!

Just cleaned my BlackVue 400 and what a difference!

I've had my BlackVue for nearly a year and I was a little concerned about the recent video quality.....fuzzy, hazy, and night footage being horrible.

I looked back at a few of my early backed up files and they were so fresh. You know, you can count the freckles on a chick's face, sort of clear (keeping it clean here, LOL).

Anyway, I google searched fuzzy BlackVue and sure enough, the damn thing collects dust in the inside, because it is not sealed that well. I took the thing apart and cleaned the sensor inside as described. Went out this morning and it's like new again.

All you need is isopropyl, q-tips, a needle, and a jeweler's philips screwdriver.

will post in more detail later on.....

Is there a good site for looking up reviews of the dash cameras?

XplicitLuder 04-15-2013 05:15 PM

I got a Blackvue recently and I seem to be having issues with the recordings. Everytime I turn on the car, it takes bout 15sec for it to start and then it says it starts recording. So it started "recording" when I left work which is roughly 8km from home. I get home and look at my sd card thru the Blackvue program and the only recording there was from like a block away from my home... So not the last 8k which apparently was "recording" , anyone got any ideas what's going on? :/

^Try formatting your sd-card - with a proper formatter.

I had some issues with mine where it wouldn't start recording for like 10 minutes lol. Formatted and that fixed it.

I always thought mine was fine until we the day I drove from Vernon back into Burnaby and got caught in that big snowstorm on the Coquihalla. The little recording light was on all the way home and when I looked for footage of the drive through the whiteout conditions in the snow, it had stopped recording 5 minutes after leaving Vernon and started back up when we were almost in Burnaby. It's been working fine since :suspicious:

Don't know what's wrong, can't really trust it. Has anyone tried to record onto their laptop from the video output on the Blackvue when they're driving?

spoonek4 04-15-2013 10:09 PM

Can anyone teach me how to edit a few short videos from a blackvue DR400G together so I can upload it like a normal video on to youtube? instead of the 2nd video keeps playing a
second of the previous video while the files are put together?

Thanks in advance!

When you see the Record LED indicator is frozen, you can hold the LED ring until it flash in different color. Let the camera restart. If issue still not solve, formatting your sd card on your computer by some formatting software. If it is still not solved, insert an different sd card to see the difference.

My recording LED never freezes tho, I always see it blinking. It will freeze for like a second then it'll blink, freeze again for a second and blink, and it just repeats. It's not constantly "frozen" like the GPS light. I formatted the card last night so ill try again. If that doesn't work ill try the sd card that came with the Blackvue instead of using my own and ill see what happens

XplicitLuder 04-16-2013 06:11 PM

XplicitLuder 04-16-2013 07:15 PM

bit off topic. but how do see the videos on my computer in HD ? when i look everything is always blurry =x or can i only get the HD-ness once i upload em to something like youtube?

asr 04-16-2013 09:12 PM

Post a picture of the "Blurry" video footage.

XplicitLuder 04-16-2013 09:25 PM

well the video is blurry when i look at it on my computer, for exmaple here is a picture. i can see his license plate when the car is closer to me, but when its roughly this far away from me (like you'lll see in the pic) i cant see anything

http://i605.photobucket.com/albums/t...Untitled-2.png

i know its hard to see but hopefully you get what i mean, and even if i zoom in (up to 200%) its still blurry. Im guessing its HD if i upload a video to youtube though ?

edit : heres on zoomed in 200+%

underscore 04-16-2013 09:35 PM

Sounds like you need to clean your camera, your PC should show you the same if not better quality than YouTube will.

edit: also try a proper media player like VLC or even Windows Media Player

XplicitLuder 04-16-2013 09:48 PM

well ive never uploaded one to youtube thats the thing, im jsut going off from what i see other videos on youtube with the same camera, and what i see on the blackvue program. Maybe im just being picky or something. Perhaps i should upload one and test it. The dash cam is literally like ..3 days old though it shoudlnt be dirty lol

underscore 04-17-2013 06:10 AM

before you take the time to upload one, just try watching it with a different media player. I'm not sure how the Blackvue program works.
