Hey pops, where'd you order the extra accessories from? I'd like another set as well.

Dash cam is pretty much a must nowadays with all the shitty drivers out there. A simple one will do. Does she drive a lot at night?

Graeme S 07-06-2012 07:30 PM

Not that much. Glare bugs her.

I'd probably get in trouble if I posted the eBay dealer in this thread, but to be fair, perhaps one of the RS sponsors can get them in. For sure a distributor should be able to order accessories and spare parts.

Stick with simple one then. I did have to wait a long time to get one sent to me via ebay. The BlackVue, on the other hand, landed at front door three days after ordering it.

Orgasm Donor was telling me a while back he was looking into getting the cheaper ones. Haven't talked to him in a while. It would be awesome if he had some.

I was just checking over some of the night footage I had from the cheapy dash cam and it's really not that bad - and no, not going to upload any of it. I sing while I drive and I sing damn loud........... nuff said.

for some reason, my blackvue doesnt auto rewite old videos, when it gets near full, i hear "Please Check SD Card"

boatcaptain 07-07-2012 12:34 AM

anyone heard of the brand Aee?
Midland AEE SD 19 camera

What kind of sd card does come with your unit?
pittasoft or samsung 16gb? The compatibility of your SD card is not that good.
2 ways to figure out.
actually samsung 16gb is class 6. It is not that good. Go to your removable disc and find a Record folder. Then delete all the files. You don't really need to format the sd disc everytime because it will change your time and other settings. You can format the disc once every one month.
2. Go to NCIX get a 32 GB samsung class 10 or 32GB Patriot Class 10. I highly recommend 32GB samsung class 10 card at this time. Your issue will be solved.
That's just my 2 cents
I hope that will help you.

looks like a replica gopro. not a real dashboard cam, but probably will be useful for all other automotive/extreme sports recordings.

isnt this even more expensive than a gopro?

asr 07-07-2012 12:46 AM

Testing a record of my FinevuPRO instead of Gopro. No more gopro.lol The only point Finevu needs to improve is that the LED lights on cr300 need to be on and off. The led lights are always on. Just like dr400 warm issue.

Probably an SD card issue. Try swapping in a different card from another company, ideally Sandisk, Lexar or Patriot. You only need a minimum of Class 6 for 1080p video, so if you can't find a Class 8 or 10 for relatively cheap, don't worry about it. My professional-grade film camera doesn't even need a Class 10 card to film in 1080/60p mode.

However, if you keep having issues, your unit is probably pooched. If you bought it locally, I'd recommend you warranty it.

According to info from other sites, it is most likely the card. It sounds like it's a fairly common problem. They recommend backing up your files then reformatting the card. There's some good info about the "Please Check SD Card" on Redflag Deals. Just do a search. I waded through all the pages and like most places, there's a lot of misinformation along with some good shit.

I found this web site recently and it is well written. Pretty refreshing to see well written shit on the Internet for a change. Car Cam Central | Your source for car camera news, reviews & videos!

BTW, I use a 32 gb class 10 Adata micro SD card that I purchased from NCIX. Got it for $25.99, plus tax. I did a full format using Pittasoft's recommended method and no problems so far. Mind you, I've only had the thing for a few days, LOL.

I have the Samsung 16gb Class 6 SD card...

was thinking of getting the 32gb cards, its on sale, just not sure which ones, lots of choices..

TOS'd 07-07-2012 04:53 PM

The Samsung one mine came with was plagued with issues. Since buying a 32gb class 10 patriot, I've had no issues and its been over 2months so far on the new card. Plus side is also you can record like 10 hrs on a single card.

My dr380 is not hot after 5 hours driving recording and 4 hours under parking mode.

dr380 HD under parking mode
xxxx, this guy parked so close to my car's passenger door. :failed:

why did he touch my car's wiper? No more flyers......

LuHua 07-13-2012 08:27 PM

Just finished wiring in a Power Magic Pro, my Blackvue was just powered through the lighter socket before. Works great, now I don't have to worry about running it in parking mode, not to mention that I can turn the feature on and off with a flick of a switch.

Only thing is, wiring and mounting the thing was a damn painful experience.

Is there anyway to turn off Event Recording Mode? I find that the Normal Recording mode is fine and it bugs when it cuts out of Normal recording and into Event recording..

TOPEC 07-14-2012 11:49 AM

turn ur g sensor all the way down, i think thats the only way, mine is set all the way down and it still sets off event recording when i hit large pot holes or cracks

Nope, event recording is on when the g sensor is on. Do not adjust the sensitivity too low.
