Can't you plug it into your TV? Unless you already have it permanently mounted on your windshield..

Update on my camera:

Just recieved it yesterday, hardwired it in with an add-a-circuit. Instanly i've found a problem with it. Apparantly it does have an actual battery inside it, but the problem with mine is i've never been able to charge it. Other than that it does record fine, but when you stop the car, if you just turn the car off the last memory file is lost if you dont manually stop the footage. That is a huge disappointment.

Also the time is nice and big in the left lower corner of the screen but i cannot adjust it because it doesnt have an actual screen. I cant adjust it on the computer either because it only stores the video files there. On the manual it tells me to connect it with my in-car DVD/NAV system but that doesnt work either because i dont have any system. Haven't got any worthy clips yet but will get some soon. Other than my somewhat little bugs its an okay camera. Quality in daytime is pretty good, but in the nighttime its very dark and grainy.

Everyone should have known there is no battery in the camera. This is why you needed the magic pro or magic for it use your cars battery to stay on (if you have BlackVue).

LuHua 12-05-2012 03:55 PM

Sounds like his camera's shutdown battery's not working properly though. Even the BlackVue has a built in battery, to save the last file after you remove your key.

:seriously:

If you actually been following the thread...or at least look back a couple posts up, you would know LP700-4 didn't purchase a BlackVue. The BlackVue isn't the one and only dash cam out there in the world....

:failed:

I believe that you only needed the power magic pro if you wanted the camera to run in parking mode, which mine does not have.

I think so too. Gonna do a bit more driving around see if the built in battery will work itself out. I have noticed that the camera stays on a bit longer today opposed to yesterday where it would just turn right off.

Anyways heres a little clip from today. Timestamp is obviously wrong but im gonna try to get a hold of some kind of power source to adjust it later this week. Not that bad quality IMO for the price.

few people asked me about my set up..

so this is a brand called kist view - hd6000

http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/5...1130153710.jpg

inside the package..

it is dual channel, so the front and back camera are included. GPS is optional.. built in battery.. 3 megapixel HD 1280x720 blah blah all that jazz..

It records when it senses impact during the parking mode.. senses motions also. But these functions only work when it is hard wired.. i'm just running off of the cigar jack at the moment.

it retails in korea for $430ish USD (i didn't even pay half of that).. pretty solid unit. These small companies in Korea don't last very long. they build great product, but the competition there is fierce..

(run on low vid quality settings)

DJ Milk 12-05-2012 11:46 PM

Here is video from the front and rear camera setup.

TOS'd 12-05-2012 11:47 PM

Should probably aim the back one a bit more down.

DJ Milk 12-05-2012 11:51 PM

I did aim it lower but the camera clicks and locks and the next rotate down shows the road :rukidding:

Parking mode is available with Power Magic Pro. MG 188 does have Motion detection.

Sorry to hear about that. The rear vehicle was too close. I think you just installed your dash cam couple weeks ago, and it saved you once already. Jeez.

It's great that he has his dash cam installed.
But it didn't really "save him once already" The white RAV4 driver would have been deemed 100% at fault regardless of if there was video proof anyways....

Make sure that when you are purchasing your unit.. you know why you are getting it.

Make sure that footage it records is good enough to read plates from some distance. I am torn between sharp vid resolution vs functionality. To me.. parking mode, back up camera (if hooked up to your head unit with screen), are all very important to me.

Andriod and Iphone take good videos too :fullofwin:
