Rogers has officially placed this touchscreen device on its discontinued list and have started to deplete their inventory. This is still currently available online and through various retailers.

Rogers is prepping to unload a few high-end devices, most notably the LTE-enabled Samsung Galaxy S II and an unknown LTE HTC device. Or quite possibly, with the Nexus discontinued it’s time for the Nexus Prime (or possibly called the Galaxy Nexus) to show up.

RacePace 09-14-2011 09:34 AM

ok, a 4.65" screen is definitely way too big

But to me, that's not a big deal. The phone would come unlocked free of all of AT&T's bloatware. Having tried out their SGS Captivate, I feel really bad for them.

!MiKrofT 09-14-2011 06:27 PM

Nexus phones aren't supposed to have any branding or extra software. That's the point of AOSP Google phone.

Gh0stRider 09-14-2011 07:29 PM

hurry up and release it....i need a new phone

!Yaminashi 09-16-2011 07:45 AM

K seriously a 4.65" screen? This is getting a tad ridiculous...

Anonymous 4chan user goes hands-on with Nexus Prime - GSMArena.com news

new info?

!MiKrofT 09-17-2011 07:03 PM

could be all bogus. 4chan isn't a reliable source of info anyways.

looks even more curved than the S
is it hard to text with the curved screen on the S?

!Yaminashi 10-05-2011 12:38 PM

i didnt find the curve any more beneficial than a slab when texting
but its a little more comfy when on the phone

jmvdesign 10-05-2011 01:47 PM

not a fan of the curved glass

!MiKrofT 10-05-2011 01:49 PM

Hmm kinda want... lol.

parm104 10-05-2011 02:38 PM

I thoroughly enjoyed having the curve in my Nexus S. It did feel a lot more comfortable to hold as well as talk on. Texting was the same, no real benefit.

One thing is for sure though, the audio quality on the Nexus S was far superior to that of my SGS2 (and I've owned several of both phones.) I found unanimously that the speakerphone was much clearer and amplified than on the SGS2. Hopefully the Nexus Prime will at least, match that quality.
