"Perfect" is a relative term :)

I'll reserve my future comments on this feature until I try it out in person.

Waited many months after the SGSII and Iphone 4S release for my next phone upgrade. Was this worth the wait? Can't wait to try it out.

hidden notification led? im sold lol. the buttonless design is genius, increased screen real estate without increasing size too much.

IceCreamSandwich.
Depending on your needs for a smartphone, ICS might not be as well liked..who knows
aha

Levitron 10-18-2011 07:49 PM

Can't wait to see how many apps this breaks ;)

Peturbo 10-18-2011 07:50 PM

They should've kept it as Nexus Prime. Sounds so much better then Galaxy nexus.

shenmecar 10-18-2011 07:52 PM

hahahaha Android Beam, what a funny name for NFC

MarkyMark 10-18-2011 07:55 PM

Samsung probably wanted the galaxy name attached to it. If this is gorilla glass I'm sold, no way I'm going to use a screen protector. The gorilla glass on my captivate had not a single blemish on it after a year of usage and it wasn't babied.

I'm a blackberry user/fan, but I have to admit eh, the galaxy nexus looks like a pretty sweet phone.

Galaxy Nexus available in Canada this November, according to Google's Andy Rubin | MobileSyrup.com

Samsung Canada stated in an email to us that the “The coolest Samsung smartphone will be coming to Canada soon”, but at the time gave no indication of what or when. Tonight, both the Galaxy Nexus and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich were revealed and looking incredibly impressive.

The official press release stated that this 4.65-inch HD Super AMOLED display beast will be “available in USA, Europe, and Asia beginning in November and then rolled out globally”. No word of Canada anywhere. However, posted on the official Google Mobile blog is a note from Andy Rubin, the “Father of Android” himself, stating that “Starting in November, Galaxy Nexus will be available in the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia. Check out the Nexus website for a product tour and more info.”

No insight into which carrier(s) will be releasing this but November is in a few weeks!!

any mention of LTE?
if so, it probably boils down to bell or rogers for next month

how does the TI omap stack up againist the exynos? Not sure why they didn't bother going with the in-house exynos 1.5GHz... and the PowerVR GPU is weak sauce compared to the new iphone's GPU

Culverin 10-18-2011 09:47 PM

Yes, it comes with LTE. That's one HUGE win over the iphone.

They said they will be releasing one for both LTE and HSPA+.
Wind mobile is currently testing out their LTE network as well fyi.
