Regardless the attention in tech right now is towards tributing Steve Jobs and the iPhone is his (whether or not he is responsible for the iPhone 4S.) Any big announcement in the tech field within these few weeks would inevitably take some attention away from Apple.

StylinRed 10-07-2011 09:16 PM

that respect jazz is bs

this is the 2nd year in a row where samsung/google have made their announcements at the same time and location as nokia world ;)

aws version is likely to come..let's hope all these will be released the same time. LTE remains exclusive to verizon though for now
GSM Nexus Prime passes through the FCC, possibly heading to AT&T? -- Engadget

BaoTurbo 10-10-2011 01:18 PM

nexus prime or iphone 5? I assume the nexus is going to be released earlier than the iphone 5, but which one is most likely to be the better one. A friend recommended me to get the prime but I have no clue what the features are

twitchyzero 10-10-2011 01:35 PM

not sure if serious.....
:seriously::facepalm:

BaoTurbo 10-10-2011 10:54 PM

not much of a phone fanatic. seriously, you can't blame a guy that has his blackberry for a long time and never cared much about different brands on phones. No, it's not that I don't get out much, I just believe in using what I have. If you can stop failing my post, and help me out, that would be really appreciated. If it was a stupid question that you can't answer, then forget I asked it

Culverin 10-10-2011 10:54 PM

I'd be very very surprised if the Nexus Prime wasn't LTE capable.
I would dare say it would put the phone behind the curve again. Just like how the Nexus S wasn't the cream of the crop when it came out.

!MiKrofT 10-11-2011 12:07 AM

Most likely what the Nexus Prime will look like.

trancehead 10-11-2011 12:15 AM

hmm i wonder why they decided to go with it curved

hongy 10-11-2011 12:18 AM

better ergonomics? I believe that is why the nexus s was curved.

Tim Budong 10-11-2011 12:57 AM

The NexusS was curved to fit better in your hand when you use the device
plus its more contour to your FACE

and apparently it gives a better viewing experience... <-- this line smells bullshit

I use a NexusS...it was weird at first, now im fine with it

!MiKrofT 10-11-2011 01:11 AM

I should be able to hup with rogers to get this next year lol

Armind 10-11-2011 02:00 AM

Speaking exclusively to T3 at the T3 Gadget Awards 2011, Samsung UK's Sales Director Andrew Glass has revealed that the delayed Google Nexus Prime launch is coming soon

Originally set to be unveiled today the eagerly awaited but delayed Google Nexus Prime will be officially shown off “very shortly”, a spokesperson for the handset’s manufacturer Samsung has revealed.

Speaking exclusively with T3, Andrew Glass Sales Director at Samsung UK confirmed the much mooted handset, which is set to launch Google’s next-generation Ice Cream Sandwich mobile OS will land sooner than expected having been postponed as a mark of respect to the recently deceased Apple co-founder and CEO Steve Jobs.

“You will have an announcement of the Nexus Prime very shortly and will be seeing it in shops sooner than you think,” Glass told T3 following the Samsung Galaxy S II being crowned Phone of the Year at the T3 Gadget Awards 2011.

Google Nexus Prime Specs

Repeatedly leaked the Samsung manufactured, Google branded Nexus Prime is to host a bountiful array of high-end specs with a monstrous 4.65-inch 1280 x 720p Super AMOLED HD display to land alongside 1GB of RAM.

A zippy 1.5GHz dual-core processor is also set to feature of the slim line 9mm thick curved handset with an optimised 5-megapixel camera to boast 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities.

Man it looks even more curved than the Nexus S

StylinRed 10-11-2011 10:20 AM

Tim Budong 10-11-2011 10:24 AM

The specs are wrong. It'll most likely be 8mpixel.

the iphone5 isnt coming out for an entire year. the nexus is coming out within the next few weeks i think.
you should be asking yourself if you should upgrade to the iphone 4s or the nexus prime, since they are both current products.

if you've tried an iphone i recommend trying android and vice versa.

!Yaminashi 10-11-2011 10:53 AM

But didnt someone say earlier that all the nexus phones that were released werent the best of the best at the time?

There were always a few downfalls?

twitchyzero 10-11-2011 12:14 PM

nexus S had dated specs when it was released in canada...but when it was announced 4 months before that at the end of last year people already anticipated dual-cores coming very soon.

but most buy nexus for the OS...the biggest selling point for galaxy nexus personally is the hd screen

Tim Budong 10-11-2011 12:53 PM

NexusS isnt the best of android
but its where all the fun toys for it come first
same goes for nexusPrime

in terms of ease to mod/hack/slash wutever
the nexus line is easiest
and it provides the RAW GOOGLE EXPERIENCE
