Galaxy Nexus with Ice Cream Sandwich: pictures, video, and hands-on | This is my next...

Hands on review and has a few sample shots from the Galaxy Nexus' camera.
Not impressed with the picture quality at all:heckno:

It was probably the trade off to get zero shutter lag

Wow, I expected better from such a high end device

roastpuff 10-19-2011 09:10 AM

Kind of glad I went with the GSG2 for now. Gingerbread is fairly mature, and ICS is going to be definitely better than Gingerbread, but it still needs optimization by the look that we're getting.

joquio 10-19-2011 09:14 AM

Now I feel kinda dumb for selling my SGS2 a month ago in the anticipation of iPhone "5" or the Galaxy Nexus.

:okay:

But I really want that 720p screen!!
Why couldn't they make the Galaxy Nexus with the 720p screen and SGS2 specs. :yuno:

:seriously:

You'll have to explain that one... this phone has a higher resolution than netbooks :lol

Good specs, huge amoled screen, newest software, what more do you want? :fulloffuck:

Maybe Google or Samsung should have found a really neat piece of software, and buy the company out, and make it only available on this phone arbitrarily even though it would work on anything, and call it the next big amazing feature?

I should've been more clear, I expected better quality from the camera is all.
Not saying that was its main selling point, but the pictures dont look much better than that of a blackberry 9900 :lol

Whoops. :D

We need a GSG9 edition of the SG2 for SGA fans? Too many acronyms.

Who said the quality of the camera is bad? Just wondering, I haven't seen pictures from it yet aside from the awful, usless snaps at engadget. Because surely you wouldn't base it purely on 'how much megapixels does it has?" :)

Usually samsung has really good cameras on their phones. I still miss the one on my Omnia II (which also had that awesome auto-panoramic function) :\

if you're referring to siri then it made sense for siri to be on a phone because of the way siri learns how to answer questions based on the massive apple userbase. siri was pretty much made to be on a phone.

Here's the live debut for the people that missed it last night.

!MiKrofT 10-19-2011 11:17 AM

Yeah I don't believe those pictures on engadget are from the camera. The quality of those are crap. I'll wait till more use it before judging.

When you don't wear skinny jeans, it normally isn't a problem.

I'm slightly confused - is that ALL BANDS on one single phone? or different models?

!MiKrofT 10-19-2011 02:35 PM

It looks like there might be 2 models.

See Badgerx3, your not a hipster, its gonna be OKAY

taylor192 10-19-2011 03:28 PM

OK first, I'm not criticizing, I love my Nexus S - yet holy fuck how much more resolution can we pack into such a small screen? Will I even notice the difference from my Nexus S to the Galaxy Nexus? (other than the obvious size difference).
