Old enough to think it was sooooooo long ago. You are actually approx my age.

The fireworks is special to us cause it's my wife and I's first date. We went every year up until the year before we got pregnant.

For those that are living in Hong Kong, what is the general process of selling a vehicle privately? I asked Perplexity but not sure how accurate it is.

Parents might let go of their Model Y and the sales rep said they'll get a lot more $ selling privately instead of trading it in.

how does your bike get stolen though? you just ride your bike right onto the grass, park it next to you and there you go. at least thats what me and my dad did back in the days.

Was just watching some video of Yungblud gifting him a necklace backstage of the tribute show the other day sharing a moment with him, looked to be in very poor condition but came off as a very caring and loving soul in their exchange… likely knowing his days were numbered… RIP

Some sad news. RIP, Namo Amida Butsu, Tamiya Sensei.

BTW, he’s not the founder of Tamiya. That would be Yoshio Tamiya. Shunsaku is the son who basically started the plastic modeling division and grew the company to what it is now. I was at the Tamiya headquarters last October, the guy was simply amazing. Great visionary.

"Tesla Burger" with "Electric Sauce."
Located in West Hollywood for now.

hwo is it any different than here? FB marketplace?
My buddy in hk got his Telsa in HK and also bought 2nd hand 911, so i can ask for you.

Badhobz 07-22-2025 01:10 PM

I hardly see any 911s in HK. The ones I see are also sub 997 ones as nobody there seems interested in paying the new Msrp.

Aren't Teslas the safest cars in the world?

I recall some lunatic driving their Tesla off a cliff and everyone survived, which is pretty sad since everyone was his wife and two kids.

westopher 07-22-2025 03:33 PM

Tesla has the highest deaths/miles driven of any car brand, followed by Kia, so no.
Part of that I’m sure has to do with the demographic and other factors, but you don’t get that stat by being the safest car.
There’s also other measures of makes a car shit beyond safety, like cost, reliability, maintenance costs, build quality, looks, enjoyment, etc.

quick google search backs this up. teslurr, kia and buick are top 3 worst in crashes.

Hondaracer 07-22-2025 03:53 PM

People who can’t drive, people who can’t afford to insure anything but a Kia, and old fucks :lol

Gumby 07-22-2025 04:27 PM

I wander if someone's gonna come in and defend Tesla soon...

Hmm

Harshits, Dillydeeps & Wi Tiu Lo's - Tesla
420 credit scorers - Kia
Doris & Archibald don't even know what day it is - Buick

Jason00S2000 07-22-2025 04:33 PM

The Plaid is insanely fucking fast and none of the tuning needed like a 9 second ICE engine.

No worries about getting some bad gas and blowing a motor. I admit the Plaid has ICE engines beat there because I have never heard of a Tesla owner racing their car and having the battery or motors explode. The Plaid I rode in went into protection mode after multiple holy-fucking-shit acceleration bursts.

spoon.ek9 07-22-2025 05:46 PM

Not sure that anyone posted about it, but Malcolm Jamal Warner passed away a couple of days ago. Accidental drowning, he was only 54.

A BICYCLE !!!

me and my old man used to ride our bikes from east van to see the fireworks. It was quite fun.

This man is right, biking down is easily the best.

I usually leave my place by Brentwood around 8:30, get down to English Bay by 9:30ish. Stand up on the road at Beach and watch them from there, leaving is pretty easy too since you're usually some of the first people out, end back home in about an hour as well.

I'm surprised I'm just learning this now, always had read Tesla scored high in crash ratings, but again that's separate from pre-crash issues.

If only we had a poster here able to clarify this.

RabidRat 07-22-2025 06:02 PM

I'm sure there's a perfectly good explanation for this.
