theres this really skinny douche at my gym that walks around doing a front lat spread and the first thing he does is put on the shitty belt provided by the gym and proceeds to do every exercise in it lol

Failed to finish my last set of back squats again for the second week in a row...

Does anyone here do a deload week? I've just been counting my heavy front squat workout as my deload since I don't use quite as much weight.

Fcukedd 05-06-2013 02:24 PM

You can't really consider heavy front squats as a deload for back squats.

It's kind of like using incline bench press as a deload for flat bench press. For the majority, it's physically impossible to incline more than you flat, front squat more than you back, etc.

Although you're using less weight, maximal effort is still present, destroying the purpose of a deload. It's also a different exercise, targeting muscles differently.

I would just stick with 50-65% of your working weight if you're planning to deload.

what fcuked said. You can't just say that you're going to rest your legs from heavy squatting by heavy hack squatting. Where is the rest for your legs?

Volvo-brickster 05-06-2013 06:21 PM

squatted ATG and split my boxers

Phozy 05-06-2013 06:26 PM

Decided to try something new today. Did heavy incline first, and hit a pr of 75's for 6!
Never thought it would be so close to my flat bench.

Thanks for the input. I just thought that since there was quite a bit less weight being moved that, at the very least, the muscles would get a bit of a break. Deload probably wasn't the best word for me to use but I'll give an actual deload a try next week.

You guys have some shitty ass underwear. I've never torn my trunks while squatting before. Is it because you guys are wearing boxers? I always wear boxer briefs or mankinis no homo

sid vicious, don't mean to single you out, but if that was you in the white beater strolling down west broadway today... you're crazy yoked out of your mind :megusta:

GFitTrain 05-07-2013 01:47 AM

I like boxer briefs for its snug fit; not to mention, it is stylish. I have at least two clients who ripped their underwear apart when squatting. Watching them go deep and hearing that tearing sound is nice.

I've actually been keeping up with goals. I'm looking better and better each day.

I stopped eating out (well not completely) and I've been eating clean at home for about 150 every 2 weeks.

I did a video for a viewer on my livestream. I've been getting alot of fitness questions on it.

I hope my advice was accurate!

Verdasco 05-07-2013 09:43 PM

to ppl new to doing dips, use a belt and add weights. Lean chest forward, legs 90 degrees back. Focus in your mind the following muscles (triceps, abs, and chest)

important tip: do not forget to beast your chest/back when doing dips as well. Also grunt if weights are heavy

Verdasco 05-07-2013 09:44 PM

anyone know which gym is this?? All i know is that it's in vancouver
