Beastly. I got the 80's above my head last workout for 5. Better watch out, in 3 years I might catch up to what you "were" at. haha

Jesus I feel embarrassing next to you guys some days. I finally did a 50lb shoulder press for 3 reps this week and I felt like I was the king of the world. This is about how this went:

Step 1: Have personal best
Step 2: Log onto Revscene, excited to share news
Step 3: Read other people's recent personal bests
Step 4: Hang head in shame, go back to gym.

What would you guys recommend for a beginner? I just want to start toning up now seeing as I've lost 50 pounds since November.

Dorian Yates blood and guts. It's a simple bodybuilding split to "tone" up. It won't get you too bulky either.

Yeah it's definitely a novice friendly easy routine, it's really all about just being casual and not trying too hard... :troll:

Getting the DBs up to working position with no help is the hardest I find. It gets a bit easier once you get rolling.

A forced 4 week training break.....went back today and well.....I have to say muscle memory is nice; but my lifts are weak. Demoralizing almost.

Know that feel brah, I lost a lot of strength in S/B/D. Once you start getting into it routinely it feels amazing to progress again.

This is just another starting point; it's time to challenge your previous self.

Anyway, PRs all day today.

Started off with incline bb bench: hit 175 for 2x5 sets previous best was 165 2x5 then tried again with 185 for 1x4.

Dumbbell shoulder press: hit 70 1x5 (spot on last rep) then lowered the weight to 60 2x8-10 reps.

Anyone else in the bulking for summer crew?

Fcukedd 04-22-2013 05:10 PM

Bulking year round, except I'm doing more core work for the summer.

Feels good to be back at the gym. International leg Mondays.

J.C 04-22-2013 05:12 PM

i thought monday was chest
legs are useless
