no its not your small hands lol
just build up your grip
what i used to do was double overhand as many as i could before switching to mixed
at one point, i even completely dropped doing a mixed grip for awhile and worked up to 300lb x 4 on overhand @ 135
and use chalk or something, it helps ALOT

Its definitely doable, and its definitely not overtraining which I believe is highly overrated
Its not really john brozs method...pretty much every olympic lifter trains 6x a week twice a day

yeah that's what I heard too..

chances are im probably going to stick with what I'm doing right now because i'm making slow progressive gains in strength

+1 to chalk

a gym that doesn't allow chalk (or deadlifting) is not a gym, i'd call it a cardio fitness center

unless its something that protects your joints (knee sleeves, belt, wrist wraps) I wouldn't suggest using any assistive aids at all

Things like straps, gloves, squat pads, and whatever weird innovative useless pieces of crap they have around nowadays

^ This. I only use liquid chalk. Doesn't leave any sort of mess, other then a little residue on the bar, which the next guy will thank you for anyhow :p It's not invisible, as it dries to your hands it goes white, but it's very convenient.

What did you guys eat when you had your wisdom teeth extracted?

I'm looking specifically for calorie-dense foods, preferably with no lactose.

Going to blend a steak for shits and giggles

hud 91gt 04-24-2013 08:03 AM

Coconut milk would be up there on the list ^

Can buy from Nutraways, ships out of North Van. I usually order 5 or 6 jars at a time, shipping is free over $70

if they can finish it, why not?

peanut butter has some of the healthiest fats out there, I spread it on anything and everything

Has high concentration of mono fats, vitamins and minerals and depending on the brand, some protein in there as well

It's high in calories

Best yet, compared to supplements, it's cheap!

GFitTrain 04-24-2013 10:12 PM

Peanut butter is delicious. I would go with natural peanut butter because it doesn't have added salt and hydrogenated oils.

This sure is taking a turn for the wrong direction haha. The elbow sleeves trap so much sweat in them. I'm actually leaking sweat onto the floor from the sleeves.

Anyways my bodybuilding stack came into. Sweet protein goodness.

anyone care to try the workout i made? its primarily for strength, and is similar in structure to the various 5x5 programs, but with lower reps per sets and higher overall intensity. its perfect for intermediate/advanced lifters and for those who enjoy lower rep sets. im still tweaking the percentages. give me your feedback

try it and let me know what you think
