I dont understand how some people can cope with an ipod while working out, seems more like a hassle for me since the wires get in the way and i start to get more into the music. However, understandable if the person working front desk has George Michael playing or something equivalent... |

I find I can't do my max's with headphones on though, Always need to take em out for the last 2 or 3 reps ... probably because I'm afraid of screaming as loud as I want to when I can't lift that last weight ... taking headphones off makes me quieter :) Definitely need them for the boring warmups though. EDIT: Beaten to it ^^^ |
i need my angry little marshall mathers in my head to crank me up theres way to much fail going on in the gym that could distract me rad workout tonight deep dumbell sholder press maxed out the seated row machine, 90lbs 6 reps 4sets on overhead press lots of chins and 150lbs on lat pulldown to finish off, then shrugs and some other bs |
wire under your shirt. anyone else only listen to one song on repeat the whole time in the gym? i never change the song when im at the gym, and only listen to maybe 4 different songs total |

I've listened to I fucking hate the song now. I made a decent workout playlist, starts with some old school rap > rock > ends with songs black people make love to. Find it gets me angry, then mellows me out. Oh J holiday :hotbaby: |
I dont know how you guys are mil pressing 2 to 2.5 plates thats nuts! Seated or standing? How deep and what form (collarbone? chin? top of head? behind head?)? Pushpress or firm military? I standing mil press 1 plate + 15 x 6 with good form. push press a little more. never done seated barbell shoulder press. |

standing 2.5 plates id prob snap my back in half lol standing i can only do 1plate 35.. i do mine seated i bring it to the chin , last rep i only brought it to the nose tho. i dont do behind head if i go heavy. rrxtar do seated it alleviates pressure from your back and forces you to only use delts its money |

i take all my shit out of my pockets when I work out, but i guess i'll give it a try once more |
Same, I can't work out with anything in my pockets. Keys, wallet, phone all gets kept in the locker. The only thing i have are my noise canceling ear buds and a cheap MP3 the size of a finger to keep me going. PS, i always put the wires underneath my shirt and can't feel a damn thing. |
i NEED my music to block out all the chumps that i see there and to keep myself from talking w/ others vice versa. |
Maybe try what I do: Use an ipod shuffle (or similar small device with a clip) and a short headphone cord. Attach the player to your sleeve.. It rarely gets in the way, since the short cord goes right from your ears to your shoulder and that's it. Front squats are the only one that I can think of that cause problems. |
I use an ipod shuffle and just clip it and wire under my shirt. Never gets in the way. When I forget my ipod: http://www.gamertagpics.com/users/a/...es-d2y3ud5.jpg Otherwise it's: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6RWE6iEodP...-Yeah-meme.png |

music is great for focus as it blocks out all the bullshit around you. its also great for telling people to screw off visually. i love to shoot the shit, but not so much in the gym |
witnessed curling in the squat rack yesterday at the oval worst part is that an entire group of them took turns on that bar. they were still on it an hour later when i was leaving... |
Props for bicep endurance |
