Don't quote me on it, but I believe cottage cheese has more BCAA's vs. yogurt.

If you do get yogurt, go for Greek Yogurt, has a much better macronutrient profile than regular yogurt.

RRxtar 03-30-2011 04:14 PM

I cant even find any fuckin yogurt that isnt low fat or no fat anymore.

jeffh 03-30-2011 05:08 PM

Yeah I have the same problem. There is literally ONE brand I have access to, at ONE grocery store that SOMETIMES will carry full fat yogurt that isn't loaded with sugar.

This same grocery store also SOMETIMES carries cottage cheese, so once every 4 months or so, I get to eat cottage cheese. Of course, it's low-fat cottage cheese

Go steal the long pins the heavier machines (ie leg press machine) use and put those in there and hang the 45 off that.

SkinnyPupp 03-30-2011 05:35 PM

Those cables and pulleys were only meant to hold a certain amount of weight, so I don't think adding significant amounts to that would be such a great idea...

Be a man and do weighted pullups instead ;)

Cottage cheese and pineapples mmmm

Ok for the people like me, who CAN'T FUCKING STAND COTTAGE CHEESE PLAIN (but eats it for benefits) the only one you should buy is the "Lucerne 1%/2% no salt added" which can be bought from Safeway.

I would gag eating any other ones but because this has no salt and very little sodium, it is very easy to eat plain.

SkinnyPupp 03-30-2011 06:06 PM

You can add any fruit to it, and it'll taste great. Simmer some blueberries in a bit of orange juice with a dash of cinnamon, and you have a fantastic blueberry sauce that goes with every 'plain' dairy dish you can imagine (plain yogurt, plain cottage cheese, etc).

It's not the taste, like anything that tastes bad (ie booze) don't hold it in your mouth for long, don't try to chew it (even though that's your first instinct) and just swallow the damn thing. I agree it tastes like shit, I feel like I'm eating whale blubber/human fat tissue when it's in my mouth because of the texture, but ever since I stopped chewing and just downing a cup of it at a time, its more palatable. I sometimes scoop crackers with it but that kinda ruins its health benefits.

we have pretty new machines at our gym it is still sketch adding a plate on to it most ppl think im nutsssss and sometimes it falls lol then its a drop set haha

teaoh 03-30-2011 06:35 PM

I have an unstable lower back, do any of you guys wear core shorts? I was thinking of getting Under Armour and just wanted your advice if you wear core shorts

SkinnyPupp 03-30-2011 07:37 PM

IMO I wouldn't wear shorts or wraps or gloves to make up for a strong core, unless you actually have an injury or are lifting ridiculously heavy.

Instead, make your core stronger.

man the fucking douche canoe at the gym is rubbing off on people. now hes working out with a guy who i used to talk to all the time, and that guys now a fucking douche bag. bench pressing a plate and a half with a belt and STRAPS and yelling and grunting the whole time. the guy wears a belt from the minute he walks in the gym to the minute he leaves. they actually argue about who gets to wear the belt.

every set of anything they do they throw the weight when they are done. the one guys already been banned from the gym for a month for it. the trainer again asked them to stop and they called her a bitch.

funny how i can rep full sets of 100lb dumbell bench press, and get up and rerack my weights without them ever hitting the ground, and they cant even fucking curl 40s without having to throw them across the gym.

and the worst part about the whole thing is theres a real retard at the gym who copies what other people do (at least hes trying) and now hes wearing a belt doing curls too. fucking christ.

SkinnyPupp 03-30-2011 09:17 PM

^^

Crank up the music, put on blinders... it'll help keep you sane, trust me :)
