but i felt my biceps tingle as i squeezed them :(, also what are the benefits of working your hamstrings?

Not really racist! 03-23-2011 10:12 PM

'tingling' doesn't = growth. You could beat your biceps with a baseball bat, and they will be sore, swollen, and tingly for a week. But that doesn't mean you made them bigger or stronger.

Your hamstrings are part of your entire back, starting from shoulders, lats, lower back, butt, hamstrings, calves, etc. Notice something about all these muscles? They are your biggest ones. Make them strong, and you will be strong overall. And then big.

Like Halo's sig used to say: BUILT FROM THE BACK.

I have a few times. Can't recall if they had a power rack or not. Positive thing is they have a chalk box.

Other than that, pretty bad gym.

edit: yea its pretty bad gym but 5$ a month (family pass) , can't beat it. 100lb max dumbells gets frustrating sometimes

Oleophobic 03-24-2011 07:43 AM

if anyone's interested theres a deal of $20 for $40 worth of supplements from Bob Mehr Compounding Pharmacies. This deal is valid at selected Bob Mehr Pharmasave or Pure Pharmacy stores.

shoeless deadlift is so fucking money. It's so much easier to keep your back aligned and go all the way down keeping good form. I usually wear flat pumas and I got normal arches in my feet, thought today I'd just try barefoot for shits and giggles, huge difference. Added a solid 20 lbs to my deadlift just because it was so much easier .. my grip on the bar was even better. Solid :) 3 plate deadlift I'm comin' for you !

contemplating on whether or not to do chest and back today, bis and tris are still sore from 2 days ago, would doing chest and back today be overtraining the arms?

The_Situation 03-25-2011 11:12 AM

No such thing as overtraining. That phrase was invented by pussies. Why don't you split your chest and back day? Doing both in a day is pretty hard.

hal0g0dv2 03-25-2011 12:05 PM

I would still do chest and back , do what rrxtar does and super set chest and back.
