Some days you hate the gym....

Other days make the gym hate you.....

Lift Hard Brah's

Berz out.

Berzerker 03-07-2012 01:00 PM

Incline pressed 100's today for the first time in my life. Got 5 reps out. :feelsgoodman: This was after 5 sets of flat BB bench so I'm pretty stoked on that. All that hard work increasing upper chest strength is really paying off lately.

Berz out.

XplicitLuder 03-07-2012 01:26 PM

think ima try 245 bench today :accepted:

I'm at about 185 hang clean PR, and I can do 315 for 2.

On a side note, I'm quitting the gym...............:derp:, damn females....strong.

Holy crap that's pretty good for a tiny woman. :megusta:
Now, if only she would take off that belt.

I think it really depends on your body type. Personally, I'm a weakling when it comes to sumo deadlifts.

Otherwise with a conventional deadlift I can do 315 lbs 5x5 no problem.

Berzerker 03-07-2012 02:00 PM

To me Sumo Deadlifts look like your just doing a squat while holding the bar in a deadlift position. I've never tried them, nor do I plan to, but when I look at the range of motion and the way the lift is it just seems rather pointless. Lets take a wide as stance as possible, lock our back in place and then stand up holding on to the bar.

For people with some back problems it's a good alternative

Well... if you seriously have the time for some DIY.

Tornado ball! (Basketball + sand = 30 lb Medicineball + Basketball net + rope = Tornado ball!)

Instructions to make one:

Much more fun than using a sledgehammer!
Also good to take to the park if you want to scare loitering hooligans.

Don't get hung up and butt hurt on the amount of plates bro.

Stick with 2 plates to 2 and a 25, and make sure you can go ATG for 8-10 reps. Might take you months but once you are comfortable with doing 2 plates and a 25 for reps, than you can slowly move up.

Takes time man.
