post workout, after your protien shake.. what do you guys eat. more protien? carbs? i've read post workout, the first thing you consume is whey protien, then simple carbs (not sure which or how much), followed by complex carbs (not sure how much) about an hour later. also, when should i be eating my good fats (nuts)? i read you shouldn't eat them post workout as they slow digestion.. so when is a good time? and finally, if i want to gain mass yet not put fat on, should i be taking a higher cal/higher carb shake ( http://www.popeyescanada.com/inf_nut..._isogainer.php ) rather than a pure whey protien shake ( http://www.kaizenprotein.com/nutrition.html )? currently i take the high protien/low carb kaizen whey protien along with a relativley low carb diet (only carbs i get are rice/veggies at dinner) anyone who can help me with these questions would be greatly thanked! |

been carb deficient since Saturday with the only veggies as my forms of carbs this week. Lifts are definitely down, struggling to get through this week but still managed only to get out 5 sets of 3x405 deadlifts, don't know whether to feel down that lifts are down or good that I still managed some decent working sets being carb deficient, I think the lack of carbs is making me moody like a girl lol. |
