i dont have any but i assume dumbell rows, barbell rows, , cable rows, lateral and front raises, deadlifts, etc are what these work best for
curls wont do shit because the weight just sits in your hand, you dont actually hang onto it

Anyone actually have any actual scientific input about high blood pressure/heart disease and dietary cholesterol?
I have to take a yearly medical exam to keep my job. High Blood pressure is hereditary in my family and I did get a scare on my last medical. Long story short I was fully checked out and I am indeed normal. It still is a worry in my mind though.
All this talk about eggs/steak blah blah blah and how dietary cholesterol does not affect blood cholesterol really confuses me. They say it does not, but what is the reasoning behind everyone with high cholesterol diets ending up with high blood pressure? How can I avoid it while keeping a high protein diet not based on milk/tofu?

you're going to get alot of opinions as answers here. honestly, if you're facing a real medical problem, i wouldnt take the opinion from a bunch of clowns on a forum, even the ones who insist they know what they are talking about.
talk to your doctor.

Every person i've met who has this problem says their doctor tells them to stay away from high cholesterol foods, which is the exact opposite of what recent "scientific research" has found. The safe bet would be to stay away. How unfortunate.

i vaguely read somewhere that the link between cholesterol and cardiovascular disease is due to people with high sugars/carb diets, and that it causes inflammation in the arteries... or something to that effect. sorry i don't have any specific article links but i read enough over the past few months to convince me that it's BS. but that's my belief. i'm not going to try and convince you or anybody else here. people should do their own research on BOTH sides of the argument. look at the sources of the information. look at the motive behind the writers/organizations who wrote the information. which studies make more sense? did they conduct their study properly? and look at the information itself and decide what sounds more logical/explainable. then make your decision.

i would also venture to say many "at risk" high dietary cholesterol diets are also incredibly high in sugars and it very well could be the sugars causing or at least significantly contributing to high blood pressure.
the rhetorical question id like to ask is what group of people seem to suffer more diabetes, blood pressure, heart disease problems. 'fit' people eating lots of steak, or 'fat' people eating lots of twinkies.
but like i said... opinions.

I tryed looking through the FAQ halo couldn't see anything about body weight exercise unless I totally by passed it........... Also was talking to someone about how much cardio I should do when I start my workout as a warm up I said 5 mins just to get everything goin start light so I'm not to warn down by the time I start lifting while they said I should be doin 15.......... This seemed like quiet a lot to me especially for someone trying to put on weight but then again I'm not fitness pro and I only work out 3 times a week so maybe this could help.
Thought I'd get peoples ideas and thoughts, thanks Posted via RS Mobile |

well i think the point of warm up is just to get the blood flowing in your muscles and cardio is the best all round for that. I personally just do light weight of the exercise(ex. couple sets of light-weight curls for biceps, etc.) and then you can feel that the blood's flowing in your arms and should be ready to hit up the heavier weights.

What kind of supersets do you guys do? I was thinking chin-ups and pull-ups. Also, how often do you superset?

i super/compound set a push and a pull. like bench and cable row or military press and chins/pulldowns.
and i do them all the time. it gives your muscle group a rest while you keep working out. keeps things moving and the intensity up.
