I guess you were retracting the shoulder blades during lockout? Focusing on that and Lats?

I didn't realize that until later lol. I'm just trying to figure out this slight Hunch (more muscles on middle). lol

I don't really focus on particular things when DLing, just make sure my form is correct. It's just the myself, like most people, are very "front heavy". IE our quads, abs, chest, and front delts are stronger in comparison to our hamstrings, lower back, and traps. Working DL evens it out and gives you better posture overall.

Alphamale 06-13-2012 11:01 PM

I found squats helped my posture more than my DL nowadays. However, when I first started, DL's were money for posture. Now any upper/lower back exercise makes me stick my chest out when I walk around (also occurs on chest days :fullofwin:).

instantneedles 06-13-2012 11:17 PM

Yeah I def agree, I did a ton of pushups and outstretched lunges as a kid which worked alot on the chest and quads and dragged everything forwards, deadlifts help to balance the front portion...

In particular, it strengthens the spinae erectors which by the sound of its name you can guess that it helps to erect the spine and pull you upright

Day 3 of T Rex mode. It's getting better after using hot packs and resting my arms. Writing is a bitch though cuz I have school and I can't even brush my teeth properly cuz I have to bend my arms the whole time

SkinnyPupp 06-14-2012 12:16 AM

I don't want to offend, but man, your story of injury due to CURLS has been entertaining as fuck this week :lawl:

BrRsn 06-14-2012 12:19 AM

Anyone else seen the brown curl brahs at SC? always come in super late, and always somehow end up curling in the squat rack with a 5lb on each side  The best is when they spot each other LOL. One guy always wears a faded burgundy shirt

Sick shoulder workout. SC got a new seated OH bench which is garbage ... set up my own OH press in the squat rack :sweetjesus: that pump is money. Push press after, sick pump :fuckyea:

I got it a while ago. Never bothered using the other compartments. Way too annoying to wash.

BaoTurbo 06-14-2012 10:24 AM

Fun week guys lol. Nah nothing offending about injuring yourself, just something to laugh at yourself with and don't do it next time. I'm just worried there are permanent muscle damage that's all I'm thinking about

Excelsis 06-14-2012 10:43 AM

hey baoturbo, have you heard of the one day arm cure?

:troll:

jimzilla 06-14-2012 10:55 AM

So I had to go see the Doc today for a checkup and apparently I'm classified as obese according to my BMI at 5'9 200lbs. I chuckled and just thought in my head, you should of seen me in the winter when I bulked to 230. LOL.

Unless you have enough mass to show your not just a skinny bitch (kind of like you used to be lol) then being ripped looks anorexic in my opinion.

Berz out.

Looks like your legs can take more beating but your torso is caving in.

Do you do deadlifts?
