wish mob had a "tab" like wind. I want the note II :okay: |
anyone else's data dropping in and out. NOTE: was working flawlessly yesterday. today drops in and out every few minutes in BBY. full bars. maybe its my phone. but i doubt it. signal goes from blue with 3g icon to grey then no data. oddly my phone is showing the old temporary # Wind gave me. I was sure it changed to my ported number before. phone is also not recieving calls during this "grey bar" time |
Went from North Burnaby to Broadway and Fraser, all good so far. |
live by royal oak and no problems so far. because of my condo, the bars around 2-4. maybe its them finalizing your porting if your signal keeps dropping like that? |

been trying all my different modems too. same thing. i wonder why? |
I'm in east van now, still no problems. Is your number ported over yet? Should only take about 6 hours. Posted via RS Mobile |
i had data problems last night by metrotown but i think it was my phone as when i rebooted it worked |
Planning on moving over to wind(PAYG)/mobilicity(50% promotion probs) from Fido (if they can't give me a better plan than the one i have now haha). How is the reception like? Especially at UBC (outside, irving, inside lectures, the sub, etc.) And would you guys say Wind is better or Mobilicity? Thanks guys! |

WIND has better reception, coverage, and data speed than Mobilicity. |

there be reception but no 3g/h+ signal.. waited an hour and asked a friend who is also on wind said he has data and reception so i rebooted my phone and viola! its back on in richmond, i would get 1 bar driving through no. 5 road in between westminster and williams and as soon as i cross either roads id get a full bar and even on 1 bar, i havent had any calls drop. but again for those still considering jumping ship, i was under rogers then telus for years, this minor hiccups on wind isnt setting me back, im still satisfied for what its worth |

maybe its just me but my tests came from Fido using a galaxy nexus (about 2.5mbps dl) vs Wind using a Nexus S (3.5mbps dl) and, stay away from mobilicity. Wind is far more superior |
After reading couple of posts, really considering switching to Wind from Fido. If there are any Wind customers here that lives in Surrey. How's the signal strength of calls and data in Surrey (around Guildford to Fleetwood) areas? |
If i can get my retention plan with fido down to $20 or less i'll stay with fido. If not, off to wind i go! :P |

goto Wind you'll get data. WTH can you get from Fido for $20? 100 anytime minutes? 50 txts? NOTE the $29 BTS plan ends this month, get moving son. EDIT: holy shit I just hit 8.3 Mbps downloads :ahwow: |
Did you guys get the 29 dollar plan? Or the 40 dollar? I sometimes make calls to TO/OTT and i can't find info on the $29 plan other then say "unlimited talk-text-data" If you guys got info that be great. |
^ $29 plan is only local.. the $40 is the canada nationwide plan |
I just switched over to wind and WOW, the data speeds at my house is insane. It's much faster than when I'm on 3G with my Rogers Iphone4. In fact, I tethered my iphone4 and a 4S off the S3 and they felt faster than with 3G stand alone from rogers. Initial tests seem to be promising. No missed texts, no dropped calls and I just set up the dell app for unlimited canada wide calling! |
Can anyone please tell me how is the coverage of WIND in Surrey (Fleetwood-Guildford) area? Really considering of switching from Fido. Thanks. |
