couple querstions: 1) if I port over now for $29 plan, but I dont want any phones right now and want to wait for Galaxy Note 2, can I put a cheap phone and wait til release and then go on WindTab for galaxy note 2? 2) Will I then lose the 29$ plan and be forced to go on something under current promotion at that time.? |

2. You won't lose your current plan because it's a permanent plan. |
Oh man, i feel so stupid. Which is better deal $40 plan with free voice mail paying 299 +HST for GS3 or $29 plan paying $449 + HST for GS3. Or buy a used Galaxy nexus or nokia N9 from craiglist list straight out for $280-$300 |

$150 less now $11 more for 36 months $150 < $396 Go with the $29. |
Also, on a related note, assuming that you're on a $50 tax in plan with rogers, you'll pay $150 to ditch three months early. You'll notice that on the $29 plan you're saving $21/mo. In about six months, you'll've paid off the ECF, and will now be golden. If you go with a $40 plan, it'll take you more than a year. Just sayin'. The reason I took the plan I did ($29 discounted from $45) was because I thought "I'm paying $80 now. $30 is awesome. And the $45 plan's features will get grandfathered. If I don't use the stuff, I can just move down to a plan that's less full up. No matter what, I win." |
I am on a 27$ retention plan voice only from rogers, no data. So taxes in about $33/month |

Samsung Galaxy S III - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia <-- this says it's the same. -edit- Also, if you're on a $30 retentions, think of it this way: $100 one-time fee to get unlimited data. |

$100 ECF or 3 months at $33/month = $99 Quote:

On a side note i signed up for the $29 plan just to give it a try. ill gauge the service at home and all my usual spots, if it isn't up to par i can return it if it is under 14 days/30min. So far at home i am getting good service, even in my basement. Will give it another couple days before I ditch my robbers line. The wind guy took his time to find me a 700# too, didn't want the 440/400s. |
Just ported over from Mobilicity today - can't say I'm overly impressed but hopefully that changes with time. Data speeds are on average a bit faster than Mobilicity but nothing drastic; I have yet to break 2mbps d/l. |
Has anyone thought of/tried signing up on the $40 plan and get a lower price on the phone (compared to the $29 plan), and then the next month switch your plan to the $29 plan (and pay the $25 switching charge?) That way you get a cheaper phone, and a lower plan... |
I'm pretty sure there's something in the fine print that says if you do that you'll either have to pay the difference in the discount, or that you can't. |
You would have to pay for the difference in the WindTAB.. 449 -299= $150+tax.. |
So far I'm loving wind! Getting download speeds that rivals robbers and at Times it's even faster than my WiFi on the outskirts of the connection. This is the fastest I've ever got. Usually it's around 3-4Mbps http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...12-20-07-1.png Posted via RS Mobile |
Where are you guys getting these speeds? Posted via RS Mobile |
