+1 Exactly same thing happened to my friend's note 2. Got instantly scratched, and like you said very sticky LOL.

No best buy in the lower mainland has received any Telus phones for over a week now.

Starting to get slightly annoyed.

Do many of you guys vouch for screen protectors? I generally never used them. The plastic doesn't clean well if at all with microfiber cloths n such.

I find its just better if you had a leather pouch holder like the original Galaxy Note.

Psykopathik 11-07-2012 04:53 PM

the jelly type (Zagg, Best Skins ever, Invishield, Skinomi) screen protectors should never be used with a stylus. only use the hard clear ones. ebay is a good place to buy.

usually i buy protector from bestskinever for my iphone and ipad... not sure if how it will work on note 2..

DanHibiki 11-07-2012 06:11 PM

Not at the moment. Actually, all of the American ones except Sprint doesn't have multi-view yet

Futureshop's been receiving them, but only grey, no white shipments supposedly.

Best buy mobile had the grey ones as well.

Metrotown telus, the one by superstore, has both colours in, checked today

BTW regarding screen protectors,

I got the oleophobic screen protector from spigen.. Would that be okay with the stylus and all?
It's pretty nice on the iphone 5..

In the search for faster internet...

Has anyone been able to get more than this so far?

Sushi604 11-08-2012 08:48 AM

LTE Only battery run down test:

http://i.imgur.com/zSDA6.png

Before plugging into the charger at 23%:
  • Screen was on for 3h 23m
  • Auto-Brightness is enabled for the entire time
  • Light gaming. Plants vs Zombies with Stylus, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Mass Effect Infiltrator, 20mins roughly
  • 1+ hours of video.
  • The rest is webbrowsing, sync enabled, push exchange email's and What'sApp firing off non stop every 10 mins.
Anyone here have better results with similar usage?

c3m 11-08-2012 09:08 AM

^ that's impressive already

shenmecar 11-08-2012 10:05 AM

thats actually really good battery life with LTE on.

hmmm...so we can buy a note 2 with no contract from Rogers and would work with a Fido sim with no unlocking needed?

kayceeee 11-08-2012 01:21 PM

from my experience yes. But I don't wanna say 100% exactly but it worked for mine.

Yes. That goes for Galaxy S3 as well

Sushi604 11-08-2012 02:40 PM

Surprised why you guys think that between Fido and Rogers they are different companies. It will work as they connect to the same towers.

In fact, if you use a sim card from the following providers:
  • Chatr
  • 7-Eleven Speak Out Wireless
  • Petro-Canada Mobility
  • Fido
  • Brightroam
  • Cityfone
  • DCI Wireless
  • good2go Mobile Canada
  • KORE Wireless
  • Primus Canada
  • SearsConnect Wireless
  • SimplyConnect
  • Talk & Earn
  • Talk & Save
they will work flawlessly. To ensure your phone is unlocked, make sure you try a microSIM card from a different carrier such as Bell, Telus or T-Mobile.

If I forgot the odd company, please chime in.
