I talked to a friend who works at Rogers and they say the max is 4 months.

i can confirm that the unlock codes from cellunlocker.net works fine

in hong kong right now and bought a local sim, voice n data works at 3G speeds of course.

Is it four months? I told my friend who is an account manager at Rogers that I planned on cancelling my contract because I'm going to Asia for a while, and she said that it would probably be more beneficial to pause my contract, so when I return I can keep my number.

$20 a month to park, or $10 a month if you cancel your data plan. Cancelling your data plan costs $10 per month remaining on your contract up to a max of $100.

In need of some advice. Currently with Fido without contract; looking for Locked Note II, which provider should I best go with when porting my number over?

With whoever gives the best deal.. bell and telus gives the highest port-in credits I think. I've been with Telus for 8 years myself but my workplace gets no reception :( I find rogers pretty enticing.. but they weren't offering anything worthwhile for me to jump ship

Service is getting shittier with Rogers and the willingness to give good deals to customers that will attract them more versus other competitors. I got a year left on my contract. Thinking of jumping ship to another carrier to sign 3 years for so that I dont go with Robbers for another 4 years for the Note II or S3

Yeah I asked a person working at the Rogers store and also my friend, both said only up to 4 months. Even during the 4 months you have to pay, something like $15 for data and $12 for the voice plan.

How much is a N2 worth? Lots of ads on CL for $700 and up. I really want one, but can't justify more than $600.

Battery is a beast. 60% at the end of the day feels awesome :awwyeah:

There are some corners that are a bit rough (coming from an iphone), such as notifications and whatnot, but overall it's all good.

Some of the "features" don't really work as well as they're supposed to; mainly the smart-eye things, where it adjusts rotation to my face and keeps the screen on while i'm looking at it. The pen alarm thing doesn't work so well either.

Is there a way to get fonts without paying $3?

I picked my Note 2 up from Rogers last friday. Do I just not know how or does this version of the phone not have the split screen function? My buddies phone (international version) starts the process by holding down the "back" button, nothing happens on mine.

^ The current NA version don't have it yet.

International version got an OTA update couple weeks ago for it

I'll be back from Holidays tomorrow. Does anyone know which Rogers syores have the N2 in stock? Just got another enail that my phone is still on back order and my current SGS is crashing way too often that I almost want to throw the phone against the wall.
