which model of the LTE will work with fido network?
thanks

Fido's LTE is on 2100MHz and 2600MHz, if that is what you mean by "which model of LTE".

You mean the SD card won't format? Then the card is bad. You might need to try a recover via Linux utility (can't remember what its called off the top of my head).

I think the phone won't let me choose exFAT, but I'll try an external card reader and let the computer format it!

Yeah but its the N7100... Unless you don't want LTE and avoid AWS carriers its really a super awesome tablet phone for the big 3. Speaking of which this would be a ideal for those on pay as you go!

Gh0stRider 11-05-2012 07:55 PM

i dont care for LTE right now. im considering ordering this...still thinking

Sushi604 11-05-2012 07:56 PM

Then go for it brohams! Since its the international version, you'll be the 1st to get updates directly from Samsung. Also they have a head start in the customizable kernals/ROM's/multitasking department!

inv4zn 11-05-2012 08:55 PM

The ebay listing says Not Available to Canada?

c3m 11-05-2012 09:00 PM

^ seems like it only ship within the USA
Not sure if seller would allow Canadian to pay and then ship to Blaine / Points Robert

spaceman 11-05-2012 11:12 PM

I'm going with international. I'd rather get the updates ASAP and not have to deal with bloatware - i also don't have the funds to support lte anyways (conservative university life lol). the loss of lte doesnt bother me since Ill be using this more for productivity and homework. wifi at school and home, why waste money on lte...

thebigbea 11-05-2012 11:25 PM

tempted to get a note 2.. anyone know where in lower mainland that can get one.. i know a store at aberdeen richmond sell them for $700 cash...

Sushi604 11-06-2012 08:14 AM

After being envious of kayceeee's LTE speed, I ran another speedtest, this time in the middle of East Van. Who'd think LTE connectivity in downtown would actually be shit compared to everywhere else?

Summary: 5.2MB/s down 3.1MB/s up

For those who are still on the fence if this device is worth it or not, let me tell you first hand that the battery is very VERY good.

http://i.imgur.com/FSRYr.png

Note the following:
  • If you check out the period where the phone was awake you can blame the Bluetooth being on for 2+ hours due to my workout. I turned it off after I was done
  • Sync/push notifications was on the entire time
  • WiFi was on the entire time
  • Internet browsing surprisingly was done via LTE
  • Snapping pictures during the workout and at a car meet. Most these photos were uploaded G+'s instant upload via LTE
  • 1+ hours of video
  • In the dead of night, I put the phone on silent. Phone was vibrating like mad thanks to Whatsapp/email
  • No GPS usage
I still have 39% left. Haven't charged the phone once.

This phone is a beast.

SumAznGuy 11-06-2012 10:48 AM

Just called Rogers and they said they stock in both the gray and white Note II's.
I was able to buy the phone for $649.99 plus tax and it will be UPS'ed to me next week.

c3m 11-06-2012 11:24 AM

^ isn't it 700 for no-term
the 649 is the month to month no?

kitsune 11-06-2012 11:31 AM

Easycell at aberdeen has both colours unlocked with LTE but they're selling it for 850. Other than that does anyone know where to get bell N7105 note 2? I have been waiting but no stores have any yet.

c3m 11-06-2012 12:15 PM

^Bell website sells it outright
if you are renewing or new customer then call bell. I think it would be faster than sourcing retail.
No Robelus store or authorized dealer would sell no-term at this moment even if they have stock
