-there is no number indicators above the email/text/msg icon on the home screen to let you know how many messages are pending

the buzzing, i've noticed

Well documented "issue". It's so quiet that it doesn't even bother me.
No point exchanging your phone because they all do it.

nope...even with the screen off you can hear a hissing sound coming from the earpiece...but it's really quiet...i have to press the phone hard against my ear in a quiet room to hear it...When you're out in public, you won't even hear it because of the ambient noise around you.

I honestly don't find it that big of a deal at all, and it's not the first phone to have something like this - there's a lot of antennas and electronics crammed into a small package. Better Shielding by LG might be able to minimize the sound, but, meh....

I mentioned a lot of the known problems in my post here:

Not in a call.
Just have the screen on and put your ears towards the earpiece you can hear the buzz.
It's a common issue but I was just worried it might fuck something up in the long run?

because for your screen to only take up 9%, that means you quickly get your stuff done and put your phone on standby. usually screen time should be at the top with 14 hours of use.

bobbinka 12-26-2012 09:27 PM

is it safe to use ANY micro-USB cable to charge or connect the Nexus 4 to computer?

i've heard that the Nexus 4 one is shorter. want to confirm whether other micro-USB cables might damage it

Simplex123 12-26-2012 09:31 PM

Yeah I got 33 hours as well with 3 hours of screen. 4 hours is what I want to hit, but battery so far is decent. I'm on Xylon 14 and Franco r20

It seems like your phone has just been on standby most of the time and using it very conservatively.

I would like to see how the battery is with normal usage.

This phone hit a 32H on Google Nexus 4 goes through our battery test, see how it scored - GSMArena Blog

Which is decent but I doubt it would get through a full day if used normally.
