friends have start replacing their 4S with the S4...god damn, the screen is much brighter than my note2...but the back cover is shitty looking, like fake carbon fiber sticker people buy on ebay

twitchyzero 05-01-2013 09:32 PM

can you do true multitasking like note2?

Yes the phone has the multiwindow/split screen features that my Note 2 had. On another note the S4 did pretty well on Quadrant. I apologize for the huge pic

Just as I thought the battery life after one day is between the Note 2 and S3. Definetly much better battery life when I had my S3 with the Exynos quad core but the battery in the Note 2 is just too beastly :sweetjesus:

PuYang 05-02-2013 09:14 PM

EDIT: nvm probably misinterpreted lol.

I can't believe its already been a year since S3 came out O___O...

k2damax 05-03-2013 01:32 AM

getting mines in the morning :)

k2damax 05-03-2013 10:38 AM

got the s4 about an hour ago :D

fsy82 05-03-2013 10:48 AM

any deals out there where you can trade in your S3 for the S4 and pay the difference?

djstyles 05-03-2013 11:15 AM

After about 2 days of using the S4 I am pretty amazed how they could fit a larger/higher res. screen, bigger battery, better camera, and a whole bunch of sensors into a phone that is smaller than the s3 and looks/feels way more high end. If any of you S3 users out there are on the fence about upgrading I say do it as it is a big upgrade and is totally worth it.

I just got it in the afternoon today. Impressed but I don't like the stock ROM. The S3 I had ran on a Nexus type ROM or at least an aftermarket one and I liked that one better.

I found that the Messaging app is slow to open up my Swiftkey keyboard compared to my S3

striderblade 05-04-2013 06:20 AM

hmm anyone have problem connecting the s4 with your wifi at home. Mine said I'm connected but I can only browse a bit and then it stopped working. However the wifi icon is still show that I'm connected.

if you are asking for someone to root your phone, i suggest you rather not. just use it as is. if you can't (or afraid to) root your own phone then you probably won't benefit too much from a rooted phone. (flash roms/kernels)

This time white S4 looks better than Black.

What's with all the stupid software installed in the 16GB? only 8gb free in the system

djstyles 05-04-2013 07:18 PM

^Glad I picked up a 64gb microSD for cheap on Black friday!

DHP 1 05-05-2013 07:02 PM

how is the battery life

shenmecar 05-05-2013 08:37 PM

in the past, Rogers-locked S3s will work with Fido sim cards without any problems. I don't think its a matter of the phone locking to the first sim you put in (like an iPhone does)

blee123 05-05-2013 09:52 PM

Just a question, I am currently using a blackberry. If i convert to S4, is there a way to bring all my contacts over at once? (phone to phone transfer)

The stock firmware and bloatware is making the phone laggy and such. I was really hoping someone in real life can help me out and show me the steps to root a phone rather than reading it online and watching youtube videos and doing it yourself. Much more easier if I just provide a meal and a computer for someone to show me it in person imo

Are you able to save your Contacts onto your sim card?
If yes, do that. Then Place sim card into new phone
