Gonna send it to MSI and hope they don't care that I took the stock cooler off. My main concern is that it'll be months before I get it back.

There's actually another problem with it. When I was disconnecting it from my PC, one of the connectors from the power cable got stuck and it broke off in one of the 8-pin slots.

:lol

His artworks only been selling for $100

Today his nft art auctioned for $69m usd

https://www.theverge.com/2021/3/11/2...ays-69-million

Manic! 03-11-2021 01:58 PM

What if you owned a painting by Picasso. Could you make a scan of it and sell it separately as an nft? How would that effect the price of the physical painting?

What if you buy a physical print from a living artist? Who gets the right to the digital version?

What about limited edition prints when you have something like 1 of 50?

Can you sell the digital rights of the same work on multiple platforms?

This is so interesting and confusing.

StylinRed 03-11-2021 02:01 PM

Yeah u can like those guys who bought the Banksy and torched it after making a digital nft version

These guys explain it well

Download nvidia developer drivers, and the eth nerf isn't on them (3060 12gb)

https://developer.nvidia.com/cuda/wsl/download

Edit: people testing it says using risers don't work, and not all 3060s are working with this driver

Edit2: they're also saying a cable has to be plugged into the hdmi port or displayport else it'll start to throttle... (dummy connection is fine)

Dont know about you, but i have submitted a warranty claim twice with MSI for my laptop, it says 2 days for a return email.
No replies both times, once 1.5 months ago, again 2 weeks ago. Might call them and see if that gets me anywhere

StylinRed 03-15-2021 01:53 PM

Had the same issue with thermaltake rma

But if you email the regular customer service contact you'll get a reply same day or next

Yeah, arrived today at their warehouse in Richmond. Hopefully get a reply by the end of the week with an update.

For the time being, I went and bought a 3060. I'm expecting the 3080 RMA to take up to 2-3 months based on the current shortage.

StylinRed 03-15-2021 09:46 PM

Let's hope they don't just opt to refund u the cost like some ppl

its something to do with PCIe 3.0 x16, x16 in x8 mode. But x4 does not work.
Thats why a lot people report risers doesn't work.

Need the beta driver as follow.

StylinRed 03-16-2021 05:52 AM

Yeah I was hoping one of those 8+ card riser less motherboards would work, but those read as 1x apparently

i am wondering, in the future, all the video cards are nerfed for mining.

Then, older version of rtx 3000 series, value will hugely increased, isn't it ?

Until proof of stake happens for eth in a year or 2. Other cryptos are hot effected by the nerf.

Found an NVIDIA P5000 and an older EVGA GTX 1050 Ti, worth it to mine on these?

You are looking at around $60 US a month for the P5000 and around 43 US a month US for the 1050TI before power.

Can't catch a fkn break. The 3070 I ordered from staples has been canceled because of an error in the system. That makes 2 orders that have been canceled. Still have 6 on pre order with no real ETA.

StylinRed 03-17-2021 02:18 PM

I've never been fond of staples' website, and with ur experience it seems justified

Side note the 6700xt drops tomorrow, anyone going to pick any up? Or try to? I wanted to keep my rigs all nvidia, but I'll see if I can snag one or two tomorrow I guess

Monoprice now scalping GPU's $2299 for a 3080.

https://www.monoprice.com/category/c...ics-cards-(gpu)

After spending 50 plus minutes on the phone with staples they are sending me a $70 gift card in 15 to 30 days. In store use only. Other option was 10% off an item. Also a higher up manager will contact me in 48 to 72 business hours.

the sad thing is you will never be able to use that on a GPU because you wont have time to put in the code before they are all sold out :(
