This is starting to sound like the last crypto boom. I turned a few buddies on to crypto and they started buying all types of shit coins. One bought red coin when he wanted redd coin so then he owned both. Only two coins I have owned are eth because of mining and bitcoin. Don't buy a coin because you think it's going to 100x in 10 days. Also don't buy crypto if you can't handle big swings up or down.

I just helped my cousin (against my advice) buy $5k worth of ICX. No joke, he told me he started following some guy and the guy has 90% of his portfolio in ICX and it's going to take off.

I would never tell people what to invest in unless you have absolute faith in them to not be a dick about it.

He wants to invest in ICX, let him. If it rockets after and ETH starts consolidating (which is likely given it's up over 30% in the last week) you know he's gonna blame you.

My Suprim X for some unknown reason just drops mh in half out of the blue and roller-coasters up n down, I don't even have its settings pushed hard (it can go 101mh) I have it running at 97mh with 80°c steady memory junction, but this morning, it'll just drop down to 48mh almost exactly half

I know, that's what I told him, it's a lot to dump into an alt coin you don't know anything about, just because someone you follow is pumping it.

His logic is that BTC, ETH, and ADA already had their breakouts, now it's "Alt Season", so ICX should have its day. He was pretty honest with me, he said he's just looking for a big 10x payout.

I got into crypto in 2017 as well. I remember I had over 300,000 ADA tokens at one point. I sold a moved most of it into BTC during the crash. BTC did well for me, but not as good as if I just left it in ADA. But, i'm happy I made it out alive after that crash.

You're totally right. We're all adults and we should live by our decisions because let's be honest, it's not like I actually know what i'm doing either. Just because I think I have an "idea", that doesn't mean I really know what's going on.

My whole thing with investing is to be conservative first, so you should have a strong foundation first. so for Crypto, I feel like that's BTC and ETH, for the stock market its the S&P500 index. After you have a strong foundation, then start to invest in the other coins/industries.

The problem I have with my cousin is that he's always trying to hit the next big thing. But, like you said, it's not my place to tell him what to do, I can only make suggestions.

His other argument is that i'm only conservative because I got the big BTC, ETH, ADA run ups, so he's trying to find the next BTC/ETC/ADA, which I don't think is a good argument, but C'est la vie. I still bought him his ICX and it did go up 30% like you said.

Waited 55 days as my CC dispute window is 60 days. Couldn't get them to return calls, emails or anything. Couldn't even reply to the cancellation order.
Visa completed my dispute in 2 business days.

My portfolio is 100% BTC and ETH. Only bought into ETH in January of this year. I agree that people shouldn't move into altcoins until they do their homework and understand the gambles. I hear about people dumping money in random stuff and not even knowing what it is. I am super conservative so just having any money in crypto is a win in my books. Hasn't made me rich, but the gains have been better than my ETF portfolio.
