Last I checked, the Leafs only made the playoffs last season because of the shortened season. A full 82 games... well we saw what happend this year :D

Rangers have the pieces to be a good NHL team and they showed that this year. I mean, look at their forwards and their d line, not to mention the goaltending they get. Some smart moves from them (i.e., not buying out Richards, trading that bitch Callahan for St Louis, hiring AV, resigned Giradi, traded for Carcillo [yes this was a good move. Last two teams he played on were Hawks, Kings], waived Taylor Pyatt). Not crazy big deals, but smart moves along the way, tinkering an already good team.

If anyone is familiar with the King and Hawks its AV.

And he's also lost to the Kings and Blackhawks.

He's doing well for the Rangers ill give him that, but his time in Vancouver was done. He lost the room and players were just shutting him out.

What's your point? Yes, coaches have a shelf life with teams and AV's expired with the Canucks.

He's a good coach and has proven he can get the most out of players. Let's hope the new guy Canucks bring in can do the same.

Feels.. remember 15 games into the season, NYR was something like 2 -13? Worst record in the league and we were laughing at him. First 12 or 13 straight on the road too so quite a bit of adversity to deal with
