Nylander is Canadian born and played in the US before going to europe... so dont over look him as a soft euro.

:derp: first hybrid prospect
Canadian = heart
USA=Grit/Toughness
Swedes=Skill

CRS 06-06-2014 09:23 AM

Invasion of the Jims!

Simulated 06-06-2014 09:42 AM

Really? Canucks giving crow a second look?

highfive 06-06-2014 09:49 AM

^Rumour from Botch I think? Don't think Crow would come back with the lawsuit going on.

Just realize that if he's injured from that, would the Canucks still be able to buy him out? Booth might have the last laugh :awwyeah:

CRS 06-06-2014 10:01 AM

Still want John Stevens.

pastarocket 06-06-2014 12:10 PM

Would Bylsma be a good fit for the team? Perhaps.

He knows how to win a championship as he's won a Cup with Pittsburgh already.

His offensive system of play certainly matches Linden's philosophy of exciting, up tempo hockey but with responsible defensive positioning.

If rutherford would Brandon Sutter, Brian Dumoulin and a 1st round selection in 2012, he would most likely trade it for Kesler now hes with the Pens.

That statement is as relevant as Torts winning a cup at some point in his career.

Simulated 06-06-2014 02:12 PM

And as relevant as if AV wins a cup with NYR. People should stop listing winning the cup ONCE as some kind of attribute to look for in a coach.

2 cups, $30

Jmac 06-06-2014 04:23 PM

Bylsma has a similar coaching style to AV, so if people want someone like AV back, he's your guy (right down to his Aaron Rome-style love affair with scrub defensemen).

RRxtar 06-06-2014 04:39 PM

Winning the cup ONCE with a healthy prime Sid and Malkin is strongly negated by not winning a single game passed the 2nd round in the 5 years since.

The Pens have had a pretty solid team, and they haven't had much success. Pretty easy to identify a coaching problem
