I'm paying $131 total for 1gb fiber, home phone and basic cable. This is with Telus. The gigabit upload is nice for family members using my Plex server. |

43$ after taxes for Shaw 300. Got another year of this left. |
sorry but has anyone ever signed with novus? i submitted a request and a rep called me back. we then proceeded by email and the rep is asking for bc id, credit card number and other personal details that she wants me to provide for email. for those that are on novus, what were the proper channels in registering for novus? I do not feel comfortable typing out and sending out this information through email. was there a proper way of doing this? any info would be great! thanks! |
40$ / lightspeed 50mbps internet only |
My 2 year deal is ending with Shaw soon. Wondering what deals people are getting for internet + tv. |
Friend of a friend hooked me up with telus 1gb fibre for $85/month with $200 credit for 2 years. New customer to telus internet but existing user for koodo/telus cellular plan. |
1GB looking more like $99 a month on 2 year term, if you have existing mobility might be closer to Gilly's pricing. Can get quotes with current pricing if anyone is interested with TELUS services |
Paying $55 tax in with Telus Pik Tv with Sports/ Internet 75 with unlimited bandwidth / Home phone. |

I'm paying 60+ tax for Telus Fiber 300/300+PikTV and unlimited bandwidth. Willing to move one of the mobile lines. Anyone knows any Fiber+mobile promo? |
I'm thinking of switching over to PikTV. Do you need any hardware to watch it on your TV? |
You need to have a laptop etc. With an HDMI or a 4K Apple TV. Casting over wifi etc will be garbage |
https://www.speedtest.net/result/10706300377.png Telus Gigabit FTW! This is on my main PC temporarily using a USB WiFi adapter. I had no speed issues using the exact same hardware at another place I was living in temporarily. Was getting a consistent 75-85mbps DL/UL using the same hardware but ever since moving here to our new place the connection has been pretty finicky. |
Well it sounds like the USB Wi-Fi adapter is your issue.. Can’t expect anything without a hardwired connection |

I had speed issues after moving to a different home so I bought Telus WiFi Boosters. They seem to make a big difference. I'm on Telus 75, not hardwired. Connected to modem: https://i.imgur.com/XT1bGXc.jpg Connected to wifi booster: https://i.imgur.com/iuGpSAH.jpg |

That sounds like a shitty deal if I could get what you have for just $6 more. lol Luckily I declined, but I plan to call in again maybe next week. I still got a month before my current contract ends. The more I think about it, I'm probably just going to cut TV altogether and not even go with PikTV. Just internet and sign up for streaming platforms. I really don't follow anything on TV. Did any of you guys do that and what rates are you getting? |
I’m on Telus Gigabit and get around 900-950 Mbps over ethernet, 200-650 Mbps over wifi depending on where I am in the house (with my devices that have wireless AC adapters). I’m using a D-Link Wireless AC router, though, not the router built into the modem which wasn’t very good for range or speed. I found changing my settings really helped. 5 GHz to WPA2/WPA3 encryption and Wireless AC instead of the default WPA/WPA2 and wireless A/N/AC really helped my speeds. Using the 2.4 GHz connection with WPA/WPA2 and wireless G/N for legacy devices (who has wireless A/B devices these days?) |
@Hondaracer any deals right now? My 2yr contract ends soon. HS75, Essentials and 4 theme packs. I got a promo price a couple years ago, then stacked a discount from MPIA for my complex switching to fibre. If there's nothing decent, I might cut the TV and just stream. Or do you think I should just try retentions? |
Mpia renewals are a bit tricky, prices are all over the place depending on the building. TV can basically be a throw in in most cases, I’d expect like HS150 + basic TV for about $130-$150 or so depending. I’ll check Tom |

My situation is we signed up for a new construction first-year-free promo and then added a bunch to it. We're now at the one year mark of a 2 yr agreement, so the promotion is over. Here's what I'm paying starting next month: Internet 300 - $115 TV - 11 theme packs, Netflix, Crave+Movies+HBO - $120 Any ideas to bring this cost down? We like our TV channels so hoping to keep as many as possible. There's really just 8 theme packs we like, plus Netflix, Crave, HBO and Prime. |
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe on the New Home Offer (first year free on 2yr contract) you can cancel the second year for $15/mo for each remaining month. Meaning if you cancelled at the end of the first year, you'd owe $180 (still a damn good deal for a year of services). Might be worth looking into, if there are better promos available, currently. |
