That deal is basically unheard of, I’ve never seen/heard of anyone getting that. With my employee discount of 40% off my HS150 costs more I think lol

We are current Shaw customers without a contract receiving Internet 15 and nearly all the TV channels (except for HBO) because I'm still on a very old package from 10 years ago ($170/mo) that is no longer offered. It costs me $180/mo after taxes.

Thoughts?

I went for it, I was with Shaw for 2 years and TELUS is so much better in my opinion. There's so much free wifi out there as it is nowadays that the shaw open incentive didn't matter to me. I upgraded to internet 50 and Medium tv package and im paying 30 bucks a month.

DavidNguyen 10-02-2019 03:30 PM

So my Shaw contract gonna expire in a few months.

I currently got internet 300 and small tv package $110 taxes in

Any shaw retentions deals you guys received lately

akira112 10-12-2019 07:07 AM

Any new Telus deals? My current promotion is expiring, have to call in and renegotiate.

NHO should be HS300 (unlimited data), TV essentials (up to 2, 4k boxes), home phone lite, free first year on 2yr contract. Can cancel 2nd year for $15/remaining months ($180). So if you plan to cancel, think of it as $15/month for 1yr.

tiger_handheld 10-13-2019 07:55 AM

any telus reps willing to compare my current shaw channel line up and get me the same channels + internet + cell phone for a good price?

current shaw customer - on a expiring term.

PM me.

Euro7r 11-23-2019 04:16 PM

Telus contract up next month, looking to renew.

Current plan is TV pik 6 ($38) / Internet 75 ($50) / Home Phone ($7) = $95 before tax.
Called today and spoke to Philippines lady from Telus, offered me practically the same thing I'm paying for 2 year renewal, with some extra added features which I don't care for.

I'm considering adding home security and get rid of TV since no one watches TV at home now.

Rallydrv 11-25-2019 10:21 AM

Got shaw 300 @ $38 for 1st year then $55 for next. Two year term.

tiger_handheld 12-15-2019 09:02 AM

shaw offered renewal plan:

Internet 50 (downgrade from current 75) - $40
Small TV + 5 Theme pack - $57
Free 4k box

total $97 + tax = $108/mo on 2 year term.

is this reasonable for now a days?

Telus was just ridiculous wanted $170/mo for Optik Tv + 4 pack + Internet 75.

I haven't accepted.

Any competitors to Tek Savvy? maybe they have internet + tv similar?

I think thats alright

I got internet 300 with 5 theme packs for $109 taxes in

My contract expires in 35 days. Gonna cut the cable. Keep the internet. I know they will offer me something good for me to keep my cable

Gh0st 12-15-2019 09:10 AM

I just called into Shaw for my mom yesterday it was a pain. 135/month for internet 300, popular TV, and home phone with some long distance rates, and 3 tv boxes

Honestly not sure if that's even a good deal. let me know. its a month to month no contract deal.

I just renewed with Telus this morning. Pik 5 TV + Internet 75 + Home Line = $67. I opted out of Optik since rarely watch shows on TV, but nice to have TV when I do want to watch (app based with my options - tablet/computer/phone).

If I wanted Optik TV + Internet 75, Telus offered me $88. Not too far off than your Shaw deal.

Telus is trolling you with that plan they offered since they can literally offer that for 1/2 the price/even less than that since you'll be a new customer if you switch from Shaw.

Hehe 12-15-2019 10:54 PM

I'm on Pik5TV+Internet 300 for $70/mth. (add tax of course). Can't complain.

Was able to get the same deal for my friend, although they wanted $5 more, but still a decent deal IMO.

I didn't need tv or home phone but my internet plan I just got on the weekend is Shaw 300. Unlimited. 300 bill credit. 2 year for 53 dollar. If I divide the credit in 24.month it's about 40 bucks a month for internet which isn't bad...

Ludepower 12-16-2019 07:52 PM

I would never return to shaw cause of horrible lag around dinner time. Happy with telus and willing to give Novus a chance if Telus keeps raising their prices.

I got the same thing but $200 credit. How'd you get $300?

I searched on Facebook market Shaw reps and few sent me deals but best one was the 53 and 300 credit so when I went to store I asked what they can offer and she said 55 with 250 credit so I told her someone else offered me 53 with 300 and she said ok she can do it also.

I am stuck with shaw because of 1 thing; their shawgowifi
my mom and my dad / aunt / uncle are all using my login; they aren't using data plan so the fact they are able to leverage that, i'm goign to keep using shaw.

Nice. Im chatting with them right now. Gonna cut my cable and get 300 internet. Hopefully i can get this plan of yours

Manic! 12-26-2019 01:38 PM

You shouldn't have to haggle, wheel and deal, type in a special cheat code and spend hours on the phone to get an internet deal. Telus called 3 weeks back and asked if the can run fiber to the house. I said no problem. Checked the Telus website today and they want $70 for 50 down 10 up. They will give me $200 if I sign up for a 2-year deal. Making the final price $54. Can't wait for starling.

Anyone looking for no B.S. internet check out https://www.can-com.com $80 for 600 down no contract no haggling required.

I've been using Novus for almost two years and the service has been great. If you get a referral to Novus, both accounts get one free month of service. Just throwing it out there in case you don't know anyone else on Novus.

I thought about switching over to Telus because their reps came to my building to offer some promos. I took the day off work and their tech no showed. I rescheduled for another day. The tech called me 30 minutes before the appointment and said he didn't have the key to enter the telecom room in my building. Our building caretaker had already left for the day so I just said forget it.
