^ dorsett, sbisa, and a 1st

spoon.ek9 08-24-2016 04:44 PM

band-aid solution is totally expected considering the Aquilini's meddling and a fickle, impatient fan base. it sounds bad but you all know that's how it's going to go down sooner rather than later.

dbaz 08-24-2016 07:39 PM

come on benning. I want to see a kucherov offer sheet. lol

at the very least it will make tbay make a big trade with bishop

highfive 08-24-2016 07:51 PM

Linden and benning won't do that. They're not like gillis who's willing to offer sheet to get the player he wants. They try to make fair deals.

So far, it makes me miss gillis but then again, a lot of his success was because of having core players entering into their primes.

But benning trades need time to see if it worked in our favour.

JesseBlue 08-24-2016 10:07 PM

Fair deals? Sound more like one sided deals for the other teams

jeedee 08-25-2016 12:19 AM

dat face and determination tho :troll:

Florida ships out Crouse and Bolland to Arizona for a pair of draft picks.

Bolland's boat anchor of a contract will help Arizona get to the cap floor.

6o4__boi 08-25-2016 07:27 AM

Arizona's just stacking up on prospects

It's depressing to think we have such a moron at the helm incapable of any reasonable deals and an even dumber fucking meddling owner who can't keep his fucking fat fingers off and just let the business be ran by people who should know what they're doing.

NYR signs Pirri for 1x1.1M

Couple of good additions for them on paper the last couple of weeks

Jmac 08-25-2016 08:57 AM

Arizona's GM (youngest GM in the league) was the head of the analytics company MG hired in 2008 (when no one else used analytics).

Nabatron 08-25-2016 09:12 AM

The last trade deadline still haunts me today! For whatever the story was with JB not pulling the trigger on hamhuis deal, or vrbata for atleast something is just a major GM fail! I mean if you pretty much knew you were not going to sign him at least trade them both for at least something or anything. Just so sit there on trade deadline day with your fist up your ass and not make any deals, cap dumps, trade for picks ect...losing more faith in these two idiots each and everyday!

Nabatron 08-25-2016 09:18 AM

Say if canucks go into training camp with the roster they have what would the projected lines be right now?

IMO they need another scorer on the second line because if they count on the first line ie sedins and Erickson canucks will be in a load of trouble. I am also hoping dumbass WD will not fuck with that line and give him the vrbata treatment and put him on the 2nd to balance scoring. If he does its going to be long 6 years in van....

highfive 08-25-2016 09:20 AM

Maybe there's not enough time to see how well the trade pans out but I don't get why he traded hunter for granlund. Why trade for a bottom 6 centre when we needed defence and scoring?

McCann trade for gudbranson was understandable. But hunter for granlund? At least improve our depth elsewhere and not just a bottom 6 forward.

6o4__boi 08-25-2016 09:31 AM

Sedin Sedin Eriksson
Baertschi Horvat Rodin
Hansen Sutter Burrows
Dorsett Granlund Etem
Gaunce Virtanen

Edler Tanev
Hutton Gudbranson
Tryamkin Larsen

Pedan Biega
Stecher Subban

Markstrom Miller

can't remember who i'm missing, my brain's not in hockey mode right now
but holy fuck that roster and top 6 is depressing af

The Sedins/Loui are a 2nd line at best and it would be unfair to Bo/Bae/Rodin/Virtanen to expect them to put up top 6 points

The one bright spot I see is the D...actually looks pretty promising on paper.

murd0c 08-25-2016 09:41 AM

you are missing Pizza man

Nabatron 08-25-2016 10:05 AM

They are also saying with rodins injury that he wont be even ready to play let alone even contribute...I am guessing by the second half of the season he will be actually fit to even play.

Liquid_o2 08-25-2016 10:13 AM

Either a bunch of the young guys take the next step and this team surprises people, or it will sink like a stone and we will be out of the playoff race by New Years.

Spoon 08-25-2016 10:17 AM

At some point, Hansen/Burrows will go back to the first line and Eriksson will end up in the second line to balance things off.

riiight, totally forgot about that guy
in that case he'd bump out either Larsen or Tryamkin in the lineup

Hopefully he's fit by November. Not sure what the official word is on his recovery process but i'm sure more will be revealed in Sept.

Nabatron 08-25-2016 12:51 PM

I would like the big Russian and the dane Larsen in the line up over sbisa...Larsen was brought in to help the pp which hopefully will help, big Russian was here to be big and crush lol, sbisa is just butt and needs to be traded.

With last years shit storm JB/TL was banking on guys to have career years but obviously that didn't go so well. If he thinks this years team will be any better then he is drinking that purple cool aid. Glaring holes I see is the 2nd line and maybe the 4th but that has always been a revolving door of players..

murd0c 08-25-2016 01:10 PM

Sbisa had a decent year last year at least.. He might surprise us and have another great year hopefully

Liquid_o2 08-25-2016 01:46 PM

So with the Arizona and Florida trade earlier today, the Coyotes pick up power forward prospect Lawson Crouse (2015 #11 overall).

Arizona has been smart over the past few years and has some very savvy drafting and trades. Their young forward group could become very dangerous:

- Dylan Strome (19 yrs old)
- Anthony Duclair (20)
- Max Domi (21)
- Christian Dvorak (20)
- Lawson Crouse (19)

Pair that with the stud Ekman-Larson on defense. Makes me very jealous of what is going down in the desert.

Nabatron 08-25-2016 02:38 PM

lots of good forwards but no defense except for OEL... wouldn't mind maybe Van flipping Edler or tanev for one of those guys thoughts?

Liquid_o2 08-25-2016 03:50 PM

Eh their D isn't too bad. OEL, Goligoski, Zbynek Michalek, Michael Stone. They could use an upgrade though.
