I haven’t ever listened to the Kurtenbloggers but I’d honestly say I prefer every show on 650 torhe 1040 lineup now, and I listened to 1040 for 10+ years. Morning show is way better, Rick Dhaliwal segments are really funny. Sat and Jawn Jang is typically informed well thought out segments with good guests In between this and the afternoon show is kind of muddled now because of the summer But then Rintoul and Walker, I grew to hate rintoul on 1040, but him and walker actually make a great pair, walker is pretty abrasive and opinionated which I like. Also the amount of BC lions talk is like 25% of what is discussed in 1040 which is a bit positive for me as well. |
1040 can go suck it. |
speaking of Prust, he recently made a comment about TL parting ways with Canucks. To which led to a roast session by Canucks fans. |
What’s that supposed to mean anyway? |
I’m guessing he means Benning needs to go as well.. |
LOL was reading through his feed on that post, Canucks fans are just roasting him, I almost felt sorry for him some of the comments are so cold :lawl: |
Not much to look forward to this season, but........................ I'm looking forward to the fans yelling, "Woo!" and it actually has some meaning now, gulolol. Woo hoo? |
the token asian wasted pick? :troll: |
^not Jett Woo. Prab Rai probably. |
I was hoping someone would pick up on the, “Woo Hoo,” comment. “Woo Who?” Is he fast? Got jets? China Express? As for Linden......... poor guy. Thought he could make a difference. Realized he was basically as needed as a mascot......... err....... puppet. In my eyes, 1000 times more a Canuck than that fucking idiot of an owner. |
https://www.thescore.com/ncaah/news/1576282 Canucks' Hughes will return to Michigan next season |
I'm so happy he's going back for another year, we don't need him on the team this season and another year in college will help him a whole lot more. He will sign once the season is over. |
I’m also happy, but again mixed messages from the Canucks??? He was talking 100% he wanted to try and make the team this year at the prospects camp and that’s a pretty big 180... |
^saw Jason brough post on twitter saying he talked with benning earlier in the month and got the sense that if hughes did sign they were not going to guarantee him a spot and would have to beat out a veteran. They were not going to move someone out until then. I mean I see it 2 ways here. I understand what benning is saying in that he cant just gift hughes a spot since that's pretty much showing his players he is playing favorites. He would have to earn his spot and that to me is what training camp is all about. I also see it as he is most likely the best dman dynamically that we have compared to all the other guys on the back end. One more year of college wont hurt him and like others have said hope he signs when his season is done and comes and plays a few games at the end of the year. |
Didn't Hughes already say right after he was drafted he wouldn't mind going back to Michigan for 1 more season? Gives him a chance at NCAA title, get more filled out, play WJ all while still having a good education. This also gives the Canucks time to hopefully have better trade value out of Tanev or whoever by trade deadline. It's also time for several Dman to show they belong this season. This isn't a bad move at all |
I’m always scared shitless when a high-end NCAA player isn’t signed immediately because of that stupid fucking loophole. We have his rights until 2021 at least. |
hopefully he gets to play with Jack, have a taste of playing together... and then jack comes to Van one day to join his brother one can dream |
My views on the team. A die hard Canuck fan for a long time, I'm out for next season. I was thinking about buying some season tickets. Not now, don't see a proper future plan. Signing vets to long term deals, young players probably have less ice time. Waste of rebuild time. I'll be paying more attention to the NFL and NBA. League pass anyone? LABRON! |

As an imaginary NHL player who's prime is slipping away, yeah I love the cozy city thats been the only place I've played my entire career. But what happens when my contract expires at the end of the year, and the Canucks don't offer me a contract, or a ridiculous hometown discount of a contract because they know I really really don't want to leave? Maybe I take that chance, or maybe I consider going to a winning team that has a chance to win me the championship I've always dreamed about, do a solid for my old team, and come back to my home city when I become a UFA on a reasonable contract. As a competitive professional, I also dont really get the idea of playing with/for a team that doesnt really want me contractual status aside. It's not the first time the Canucks have let an asset with value walk for free, when Naslund and Ohlund left they were still somewhat productive for their respective new teams. Especially with how jammed up our left side D is looking right now, I don't think its in Elder's best interest to just say 'NTC bro' |
