Refs missed that one.......... don't think there was intention to injure. Refs screwed up big time, though. They could have called that for all kinds of infractions.

Sutter said the entire team looked over the play on the bench with the iPads and said that there was no malicious intent and was just a freak accident.

What other organization besides the Canucks has major injuries to its biggest up and coming star players 2 years in a row? Boeser with his back last year and then Pettersson now with a concussion AND knee already. So cursed.

Saw a post on Canucks Facebook page saying he sat down in the Sportsnet studio today and confirmed he has a knee injury and is awaiting a MRI later today... he said there is no timetable for his return but that he feels better today than he did yesterday and is walking okay.

Hopefully he doesn't need surgery and it is just a bad strain. If he is back by February, that would be good news.
