Who’d of thunk there would be headaches that would arise from mixing?..

I'm sure this'll change once there's more and updated information available.

Hondaracer 07-20-2021 01:53 PM

Why? So they can appeal to Canada specifically?

It’s probably such a small portion of their customers ie. Canadians who apply to these circumstances watch them not even bother to change it.

As well, if places like the Bahamas insist on not accepting mixed vaccinated people, that pretty much seals it for the Caribbean cruise lines as they could not sail to anywhere within the Bahamas with those customers on board.

Excerpts from the CDC website:

https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-1...ccines-us.html

Quote:

Any currently FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine can be used when indicated; ACIP does not state a product preference. However, COVID-19 vaccines are not interchangeable.

mRNA COVID-19 vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna)

The safety and efficacy of a mixed-product series have not been evaluated. Both doses of the series should be completed with the same product.
Quote:

In exceptional situations in which the mRNA vaccine product given for the first dose cannot be determined or is no longer available, any available mRNA COVID-19 vaccine may be administered at a minimum interval of 28 days between doses to complete the mRNA COVID-19 vaccination series. In situations where the same mRNA vaccine product is temporarily unavailable, it is preferable to delay the second dose (up to 6 weeks) to receive the same product than to receive a mixed series using a different product
Now that trump isn’t bashing the CDC anymore though I guess none of this is relevant to anyone anymore.

So it has begun :accepted:

"The B.C. government announced 76 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths on Tuesday.

The seven day rolling average of new cases has been slowly increasing over the last couple of weeks and is now at its highest point since June 23 and up about 50 per cent from its low two weeks ago."

It sucks and I was worried this would happen. Luckily I got Pfizer for both doses. Though it seems like this would be an easy fix, just give everyone who got a mix a 2nd shot of their last one?

Exxtra-Maxx-Vaxxed!!

Looking at countries at the international level that has used Sinovac, it doesn't matter what their vaccination rate is. The Sinovac vaccine is so utterly useless in offering any sort of protection -- esp against the variants -- that you might as well consider their use as being unvaccinated.

China will start using BioNTech (Pfizer in Canada) in August, and say they'll be using it as a "booster shot". I bet eventually they'll tell people to take one more "booster" so they're fully vaccinated with it.

It probably held things off better than no vaccine at all, but it's not as effective as the mRNA vaccines or AZ.

Ah yes COVIDIOTS. I still can't believe some people are so entitled to not understand that businesses are private properties. It's simple, if you don't like their rules don't shop there.

Props to the owner for standing up for her staff and their respective families. It's not everyday you see businesses putting their people above sales.

Even more commendable when businesses have been losing money over the past year and a half.:thumbsup:

JDMDreams 07-20-2021 05:24 PM

^^ yes I don't think any business should put employees health and safety over getting business. It's the employees that keeps the business running not the company.

someone didn't want to wear a mask and when refused service resorted to stealing the bag of pet food and running out of the store??!! :seriously:  :derp:

Was talking with a friend that works fairly high up in the Federal government -- it hasn't been announced yet, but it is being discussed heavily internally, we all will be getting a third shot by end of year/early next.

So for the diarrhea peeps, get ready for some more :lol

I eat extra spicy fried chicken once a week. I’ve been training for this for years.

You want to go on a cruise right now?

Hondaracer 07-21-2021 09:54 AM

No, however that’s not really the issue.

My main jam is Europe and from what I’ve been seeing from the travel bloggers I’ve been watching there is very little in terms of border control for vaccines among the EU countries. However that’s not to say down the road any country could say somthing similar to Bahamas etc.

Basically by accepting the mixed vaccine you are opening yourself up to headaches which are already appearing. I didn’t mix so I’m not worried but this is exactly why I didn’t want to mix in the first place

Where do you usually go for the spicy fried chicken?

Does Vancouver have any legit nashville hot chicken spots?

Hondaracer 07-21-2021 11:28 AM

It's all still pretty early on though. There's still a lot to happen before I'd really be worried about ability to travel overseas too much. If mixed shots do turn out to be a problem later, I imagine getting a second shot of one of your earlier vaccines (so a third shot overall) won't be a problem. I know someone who works overseas who was given AZ first and then two Modernas later on.

Popeyes spicy chicken sandwich is fucking delicious.

Hondaracer 07-21-2021 12:28 PM

I’m convinced that’s all they’ve got going for them

Getting actual peices of chicken etc. Is trash. A brand new location opened up by my parents I’ve had a few times and then I tried the brand new spot on the Burnaby/NW border and I dunno what they are doing but the chicken is seemingly under-fried, not crispy as all, the tenders are floppy etc. Sides are just slop. And these same issues were present at both brand new locations

CRS 07-21-2021 12:41 PM

Yeah, don't go to any Popeyes if you're ordering anything but their chicken sandwiches.

Difference of opinions, it isn't my #1 by any means but disgusting? Damn bruh I'd like to know if you're team Churches or team KFC. If you say the ladder I'm going to lose it.
