Ugh... day 2, not feeling well now I was fine after my first shot, and the second shot looked like it was going to be the same. But around evening, I started to feel more fatigued Now I have minor head aches and my arms and legs feel weak. Arm still feels sore as usual. It's not severe, but I'm definitely not feeling well and have been taking periodical naps all morning. |

I have a cousin who got AZ first and Moderna second and he said he thought he was gonna die lol |

Day 2 after my second dose, absolutely crushing it at the gym I wonder if it's the shot or the fact that I'm not being suffocated by a mask anymore. #enjoyingitwhileicanJDMDreams |

You can get either Pfizer or Moderna. We get which ever mRNA vaccine that is given to us. |
i think most places will have both vaccines available. just got my email today. exactly 7 weeks from when i took the shot. took my parents today to ICC to get their 2nd shots, and both were being offered. |

More nostalgia than anything because I loved that place :QQ: |
^What's happening with Fortius after vaccinations are done? Live like 10 mins away, would be nice to use their bball courts. |
Believe the city of Burnaby will be turning it into a rec Center. I’m not sure if they purchased all the gym equipment or not though because it was somewhat specialized. Not really the type of stuff a regular drop in may feel comfortable with so I wouldn’t doubt they sold it all off |

Totally missed the fortius part, I haven't been by fortius in years, didn't know it got converted into a covid building |

So, just like clockwork, I received the 2nd dose booking email at 4am this morning. Exactly 7 weeks since I got my 1st dose. Interesting... Looking forward to get jabbed again because apparently, the latest lab tests are suggesting that a single dose of Pfizer or AstraZeneca “barely inhibited” the delta variant. |

They are currently using the building for vaccinations. Had mine there last week. I was in and out in 20 mins. very painless, the shot on the other hand. Hit me hard at the 24hr mark. |

Ever since having it off at the gym, my workouts have been measurably better. The masks were also making me develop a bit of respiratory issues, I initially thought it was the weed :lol Turns out it was in fact the masks at the gym, since ditching them, my lungs seem to be back to normal now. I never wanted to be a Karen on the subject, but I was curious what type of detrimental effects the masks would create to one's lungs, it seems like that particular idea was pretty much stamped down during COVID, and likely fairly so. But to say "masks don't inhibit lung function whatsoever" was total garbage, IMHO. |

I do hope they retain some of the equipment though, Fortius had some great stuff there, it's too bad the owners couldn't manage a McDonalds. That place was hemorrhaging money, even before COVID. Hope they keep that belt loaded deadlift machine, that thing was a beauty. |
I've been told sinclair training gym is already open and they purchased a large chunk of the old equipment. I remember training there pre covid and the raptors were training there preseason. Going to cancel my club16 membership as my backup and switch to drop ins at fortius |
Rip off face masks they said, it will be fine they said https://nationalpost.com/news/world/...c6c689f7f/amp/ |
2nd vaccine i am amazed you guys did not feel fucked up "sick". because i was energy less like i had H1N1. just fucking destroyed sleeping all day. |

I am extremely supportive of wearing masks, and I am going to say this -- you have to be aware of whether and how the mask you are wearing is affecting your breathing. In some of the batches of masks that I have worn, I noticed that my throat will get varying degrees of discomfort. Early in the pandemic when masks were difficult to come by, I managed to purchase some India-made "surgical masks" that consistently gives me a dry, burning, and scratchy throat after I wear it for some time. Occasionally, my windpipe would feel uncomfortable after wearing that for an extended amount of time. My wife also felt a similar type of thing from the same masks. Another batch of made-in-China masks would often give me a dry throat but nothing more. A batch of made-in-Taiwan masks had a certain scent that I don't like, but doesn't make me otherwise uncomfortable. And then of course there are masks that just go about doing their jobs without affecting me much. I don't blame any of that on the act of mask-wearing itself. Instead, it seems pretty obvious to me that the problem lies with the manufacturing of those masks. Ideally, the surgical masks are supposed to be produced in a germ-free clean room, but of course we have all seen how a lot of the so-called mask shops are nothing more than hastily set-up sweat shops with little regard to cleanliness. The best masks I've worn have always been the hospital-grade stuff that I get from the hospital / vaccination center. They are comfortable, they seal extremely well, and they do not impede breathing at all. As an average Joe, of course I have no means to buy those from the open market. Quote:

And just as I've said before, I still have quite a stockpile of masks lying around at home, and I am going to keep on wearing them at various indoor public spaces in the foreseeable future. I am not bothered by it. |
