^ Link is wrong... But... that’s an overpayment IMO during flat cap era and at this point in his career in both $$$ and term, should have been a bridge deal... his direct comparable was Tristan Jarry at 3 years/$10.5 (even though he’s obviously better than Jarry).... Jim y u so dim |

i like this deal alot. It would of been a steal if it was 4.5M. But im pretty happy about this |
https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article...25m-extension/ I am okay with this extension for Demko. He is our no. 1 goalie now and well into the future. This contract that Benning gave to Demko is better than the multiple contracts with No trade clauses given to bottom six forwards and a journeyman defenceman. Dim Jim handcuffs the team's flexibility in cap management. I cannot believe Benning gave a no trade clause to the injured Ferland for his four contract. https://www.vancouverisawesome.com/c...l-team-3585448 Dim Jim gives no trade clauses to the contracts for Sutter, Antoine Roussel, Ferland, Jay Beagle, Eriksson, Jordie Benn. etc. :considered: You would think that a GM would give out NTCs to a team's best players instead of the bottom 6 forwards and depth defenceman. |

Imo it’s a bit of an overpayment I can imagine the negotiations now. Demko and Agent sitting at the table thinking “4x4 would be great, 4x5 even better!!” Then Dim Jim walks in and slaps down 5x5 without negotiation lol.. He’s great and I like him as the starter but the number ain’t great given body of work |

Next season is still important no? Pettersson and Hughes to sign? |

Sutter's $4.375 Edler's $6M Jordie Benn $2M Hamonic $1.25M Sven Baertschi $2.291M Edler might be back but at $2M maybe. I think Benn is gone. Hamonic should be re-signed for around $2ish. Baertschi is gone. Not sure about Sutter. If he will re-sign at less money or the team lets him walk. Spooner's $1M buyout ends at the end of this season. That frees up some cap space for DimJim to throw around. And that doesn't include the likes of Vessey and Boyd and a few other small contracts that end at the end of this season. The end of next season is what JB needs to limp to. Then Luongo's cap recapture ends and so does Beagle's contract and Loui. that's over $10M between those 3 contracts. |
I hope it all works out and none of the replacements for those players costs too much |
Game Cancelled Tonight |
Good thing they have like a week of no games banked near the end of the season, so it will be easy to play make up games. |
McDonald's game day $2 big Mac deal still on tho! |
Fuck I haven't had a good Big Mac since McDonald's here was taken over by McDonald's China (it was run by Maxims Group before) They're even doing the Double Big Mac right now, which I am usually all over. I tried one and couldn't finish it. The beef is so fucking dry now, it's awful. FeelsBadMan |
Agreed, it will be my last Big Mac for a very long time. Rather take the McChicken. What is the best (least worst) burger at McDicks now? I just get the Sausage Egg McMuffin more often than not. |
The Official 2020/2021 Canucks & NHL Thread Canucks IG account mentions that the team hopes to play their next game on April 8th. That would be a road game against Calgary on the 8th. Three games are postponed for the team. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The Athletic's analysis of the Canucks cap situation next year: Spoiler! |
😔 |
|
6 new cases and might be double digits in the next few days. Rumors are a bunch of them went to Whistler over their break. |
Not surprised. Even before COVID Whistler was a petri dish of STDs. |
Lol Canucks so good |
