yeah i paid $280 for lower bowl. not bad considering upper bowl (300's and first row) is around $250.

teggy604 01-16-2024 05:47 PM

Season tickets are expensive as is. But I am happy we are not like Toronto. Imagine paying $50K min to buy a license, just so you can spend another $20K on season tickets year after year.

Sorry for my ignorance, it's been a while since I got tix to games ... but $200 and $280 lower bowl ... is that for a pair or one? If it is one ... that's still hella lots of $$$. :suspicious:

Hondaracer 01-16-2024 06:08 PM

each seat.

Face value for the seats I get at Canucks games section 216 row 18 I think are like $27x?

I’d say the shittiest lower bowl seats at rogers arena start at $200

SkinnyPupp 01-16-2024 06:12 PM

During peak WCE days I would often buy single lower bowl tickets on Ticketmaster for low $100's right before games. Club seats were a little bit more... I always thought it was a good deal, and going alone isn't so bad when the team is winning - everyone is friends then lol

Yeah wtf lol free tix?!

Hondaracer 01-16-2024 06:29 PM

You can get a pair of lower bowl seats for under $300 for most games. Game day for a midweek game it’s probably closer to $200

Adds up quick though if you’ve gotta pay for tickets and drink 6 beers

spoon.ek9 01-16-2024 07:03 PM

yeah, do yourself a favour and have your food/drinks before arriving lol. we aren't the most expensive arena but it sure as hell ain't cheap.

one time i paid for a friend and myself, that was $500ish upper bowl. montreal game iirc.

whitev70r 01-16-2024 07:38 PM

Those prices will probably hit the highest this coming Saturday when the Laffs are in town!

Leafs were leading 2-1 over Oilers and lost 4-2. Oilers on a 11 game winning streak, apparently, even Gretzky and company best winning streak was 9 games!

Honestly, what has flipped for the Oilers since the first 15 games? Was it really the coach?

spoon.ek9 01-16-2024 08:24 PM

I don't know, but I don't like it.

I mean they literally have the Hockey God on their team; they're not going to stay bad for long. They're getting good goaltending from Skinner now too so they're winning at the unprecedented level needed to turn the season around.

If they'd made the change last year, 100% they would be champions. They should have done it in the off season

Costco hotdog and pop for $1.50 back in the day when I went to the games. Whoever made the decision to put the food stand outside Costco was smart. Usually you need membership to be able to eat at Costco.

BlackV62K2 01-17-2024 08:51 AM

Coilers 11 wins in a row

punkwax 01-17-2024 10:23 AM

Just checked CL for tix to tmrws game and the prices for a snow day game against the coyotes are outrageous.

Surrey Eagles it is. 5 mins away and the games are actually quite fun to attend.

mikemhg 01-17-2024 10:47 AM

It's funny you guys like lower bowl, I prefer to be higher up.

Whenever I've sat lower bowl, I never know WTF is going on, can't see the puck, always behind the plays.

Upper bowl I can actually see the plays.

Hondaracer 01-17-2024 11:00 AM

Rogers arena has great sight lines everywhere and there isn’t really a bad seat in the house, I just prefer to be closer to the action. Row 15-20 in the lower bowl is the sweet spot imo

Used to get tickets in row 1 right beside where the green men used to sit and you can’t see shit from there

6thGear. 01-17-2024 01:27 PM

My buddy, who's from Ottawa and a Sens fan, treated me to ice level seats once. It was right next to the Sens bench. I think it was $500 for the pair.

SkinnyPupp 01-17-2024 02:11 PM

I got a row 1 seat in the corner before and Bertuzzi destroyed Darren McCarty right in front of me, it seemed like he was going to put him right through the glass into me as the boards seemed to shake like half a foot.

That moment was worth not being able to see the rest of the game lol

spoon.ek9 01-17-2024 02:17 PM

upper bowl is 100% better for following the play. like i said, upper bowl 1st row is the absolute best. lower bowl is a different experience entirely though. you're so close to the players you can hear them talk, see the expressions on their face, feel/hear the loudness of collisions, and even hearing how loud the puck is against the boards/glass is part of it too.

Speaking of McCarty, he was checking out my ice cream sundae I had sitting on the boards in warm up here lol, was nice enough not to be a dick and knock it into my lap :lol

Hossa was definitely one of the fastest skaters I ever got to witness down low, it was like 3 strides blue line to blue line

Pavel Datsyuk was the Magic Man.

No disrespect to Hossa, he was a really talented player. Datsyuk was a magician though with his stick handling and ability to protect the puck.

According to the RS random question, required to reset password or contact Admin, the Canucks HAVE won a Stanley Cup. Guess they know something we don't.

The Vancouver Millionaires did. The Canucks have not ;)
