Anyone interested in a beatle? My dad is selling his 993 991 Cab It’s got a bit of a history but it’s probably better than most similar examples. Could be a deal for someone who’s actually into the era as opposed to a garage kept un-maintained example. Will post more when I get the full info and maintenance records but it’s a very good car, currently had collectors plates, etc |

https://www.autotrader.ca/go/19-13102539 Love a good car listing with detailed descriptions. Looks like owner sunk as much money into the car as badhobz |
This one above is an excellent buy. Absolutely excellent. Last of the great Maseratis. |
Just saw this from Able Auctions: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/16U6RRw3tN/ 2006 Bentley Arnage – 9,000 km 2005 Ferrari Scaglietti – 2,100 km 2010 Porsche Cayman – 6-speed manual, 100k km 1969 Camaro + 1970 Corvette For their May 28th’s auction. Apparently no reserve on the cars, but I'm sure people will bid it up to at least something close to their market value. |
So this 993 is a California car, rebuilt status from front end damage. He’s owned it for 15 years, his buddy owned it for I think 3-5 previously bought it from cali Last generation of the air-cooled Porsches, powered by a 3.6-liter flat-six paired with a six-speed manual transaxle, the car is finished in Black Metallic over black leather upholstery. Equipment includes a black soft top, 17″ Cup II wheels, power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, and air conditioning. This was a California car with 79,307 miles with a rebuilt title, due to past front-end damage in 2003, repaired in California. I have had this car for 15 years and have driven it less than 1000 miles per year. Currently it has collector plates and insurance is about $600 per year. Interior like new, runs like a top. Tires have lots of tread left with no uneven wear. Since I have had it, I have done all the typical 993 repairs/maintenance, replaced springs and shocks, lowered to euro height, replaced a couple control arm links and had alignment done. Replaced all lifters and valve cover gaskets. New plugs, wires and distributor caps, had fuel injectors serviced, SAI system removed. Replaced motor mounts and front bushings. Brake job with new pads fluid and rotors turned. Transmission fluid changed as well as new clutch slave cylinder. A new Cab top and headliner was installed a couple years ago. Cab top motors work but alignment is needed. The front bumper and rocker panels were plasti dipped as he used to drive hwy quite a bit and the front bumper had begun to get quite a few rock chips. https://i.imgur.com/QUrKPk3.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/hLE5HkZ.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/8zpjXDG.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/dIw18qn.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/buDnDYb.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/Qi0pza3.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/2jPCsda.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/4bxd54A.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/Ww0U7Hh.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/MjnLfir.jpeg Car itself runs honestly about as good as you could hope for for its age. Pulls hard still every gear with the power building in the top end of RPM’s Has a full car fax, only issue was the original front end accident It’s a bit of a hard car to price, he’s eager to buy something else but at the same time he typically will sell shit at a price where a flipper may just buy it and make a few G’s on it so I’ve told him to he patient Much shittier overall condition cars with poor service history’s and worse bodies (albeit not salvage title) have gone consistently for $60,000 USD on BAT If anyone is interested DM me and I can provide contact info |
why dont you keep it bro? or just buy it off your pops. its a decent investment and you can keep it away from these porsche douchebags. |
He’s looking at buying a Cayenne Turbo as a retirement ride. Also it’s mainly just a garage car now he’ll take it out to get fluids going, charge the battery and wash it but he’s mostly lost interest in it I don’t have a garage otherwise I’d consider it but he’s had his run with it It’s a great car and you can see why people are so gung ho about the air cooled Beatles. Never really driven anything like it |
Garage has no signs of Chinese Guangdong hoarding. Can't trust this car. :troll: |
Go rent a garage Honda !!! Whaddya mean you don’t have a garage. This is the perfect car for you. I don’t know why you would even let him sell it. |
Go evict some homeless people and squatters and throw the 993 in there! Send them to Budapest or something! |

He couldn’t get collectors plates with those on |
DONT SELL IT HONDUhhhh!!! you clown! thats the best and most perfect car for you. how else are you going to express your right wing conservatism !? in a communist HONDA!?!? in a SOCIALIST HYUNDAI!??!! NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN NEIN !!!! HITLER DROP TOP is the only answer. me and styles drove through downtown this morning and there was a fent head bent over 90 degrees at the cross walk. Looks like he might cross, but also looks like he's frozen in a comical game of FREEZE TAG. I instantly said to styles, Honda's right. https://i.postimg.cc/Jtw4KjVz/IMG-4543.jpg It looks better than this old PIECE OF BEETLE SHIT. |
I think this would be an interesting buy 04 Audi S4 Avant, V8, 169K kms (pretty low for an 04), 3 pedals (rare), $11K. Only thing is you'll have to find a new set of seats, prev owner has a rough arse. Some things to update and change, open to offers. https://www.facebook.com/share/16KJXbzgBG/ https://scontent.fcxh3-1.fna.fbcdn.n...kg&oe=683BFA08 |
Consider the timing chain job is about 10k if it hasn't been done. I still think being into a car that cool at 25k isn't a stupid prospect, just know you aren't getting out of it for what it cost you. |
It's one of those cars where you don't know if the car is financially totaled everytime you try to start it. |
There is certain zeal about that making it an interesting buy. |
