My buddy just picked up a 2003 m sport 540i. Incredible how well built it feels over 20 years later. So comfortable, quick and super fun. |

Yah but ZERO panache / street cred E39 5-series is also probably my top 3 for best looking BMW's ever, masculine and just the right stance... E9x is way way way down that list (just me personally) |

The E46, E39 generation is peak BMW to me. To other's it may depend on how highly you hold the 850 and 635csl. |

Essentially paying 15K for a chassis if its rust-free. The SR5 engine is crap, and the tranny is auto. You would have to engine swap, tranny swap, and do all the wiring. |
