Who needs a wing, who needs light wheels, who needs BBK, who needs a splitter, who needs brakes with more "bite"? How many ppl on this forum are running laps in VIMC?

4k in wheel on a 15k car is much more regarded than 15k wheels on a 250k car.

It's no different, just happens to be for rich ppl.

In both cases there's nothing wrong with doing it cause you think it looks cool. Just be honest about why and spare everyone the BS about how it's "functional"

That's what makes it cool, though; they 100% race parts. Everyone was asking why it's so expensive, that's why.

If you want to drive an actual race-car on the street, this is pretty damn close to the top.

I go by underscore now: i also have a car with a large coolant leak:

https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...ca84e081_b.jpg

Picked this up thanks to GS8, something i would normally never even search, buuuuuuuuuut, it has 12,300kms and the price was cheaper than 1 week in mexico.

The catch? Just like underscore, my entire driveway and street is green in color lol.

Il post some more pics later, if your lucky il bring it out to the meat on 25th

Were we just going to ignore your garage progress?! It's looking good!

The flooring on the ceiling is tripping me up a little though haha

We haven't seen the bottom of the Porsche market yet. Unless you have a very desirable car, like a 992.2 GT3 Touring in PTS with backseats, you aren't likely to be making money on the car.

I went to look at a 992.1 Carerra T recently and it was sold as an asset that doesn't depreciate, and I wouldn't be surprised if the sales training is for them to sell it as an investment. The Carerra T is cool in stick, but it's not a collectible with the base engine imo. With the way taxes are, there's just no way you can make up 40k of taxes.

I think it was in just general. He talked about buying one of the cars they already had in stock then being put on the list to get one of the more special ones.

Ya it looks very period correct haha!

In elementary school I had a friend whose house looked like that. Wood paneling across the walls and ceiling.

It's like a throwback retro-nouveau kinda theme, I dig it :D

Manic! 09-21-2025 04:30 PM

The BYD yangwang u9 just went 496.22 km/h (308.33 mph) setting a new production car record. It also did a sub 7 second lap at the ring. Price 236K USD. Game over.

lololol be like throttle house... do a base Carrera T for daily and buy an actual cup car lmao... (I know nothing about these), but I assume it is transmission/engine rebuild every 10,000KM type deal right? lololol Yes, sequential dog box.... my mind is like fuccckk yea... my wallet is probably fuckkkk no.... you dumb piece of shit...

AstulzerRZD 09-21-2025 04:56 PM

The fuel cell is every 5 year
Trans/suspension/engine every 40-60 hours

Running cost is 200-400k every year or so if you actually race it

Over priced trash. All of them. Especially the bitch ass gt3… 100k-200k more than the T for what ?! A lousy 1000rpm more and a hole in the exhaust ? The tone sounds the same.

bcrdukes 09-21-2025 06:32 PM

Cup Cars: Maintenance is generally based on usage hours, not mileage. Some items are replaced based on age intervals.

AstulzerRZD 09-22-2025 07:11 AM

What 781 and 911 models does Porsche Drive have in stock for their rentals in Vancouver?

Assuming PDK only

Badhobz 09-22-2025 07:13 AM

^thats probably the best way to experience the overrated beetle. rent it for a month, get your fix and move on.

AstulzerRZD 09-22-2025 07:26 AM

I've driven 991 Cup and 981 GTS on track only so far.
Don't have much exp with the road cars other than a PDK 997S.

It varies season by season but usually they spec out fairly desirable DDs cause they plan on selling them for MSRP a year later. I've had a 992.S with a manual (the only one they said was in the fleet) and a Boxster GTS PDK. I've seen a number of GTS and Targas available as well. No turbos, GT3s, or GT4s though.

Edit: Here's the Vancouver selection: https://www.porschedrive.ca/en-CA/va...r/subscription

Badhobz 09-22-2025 07:37 AM

wow youre the only guy i know who've done this program. how was it? did you enjoy the experience? was it worth the $$?

AstulzerRZD 09-22-2025 07:44 AM

I'd be doing it for about a week in mid-October

Badhobz 09-22-2025 08:13 AM

AstulzerRZD 09-22-2025 08:26 AM

This has been true for about 5 years lol

Toyota tried to fix but it didn't help
