If you want jewelcrafting, go mining so you're not paying out the ass for ore. If you're determined to stay engineering I'd choose something that will make you money, ie. Herbing or skinning or mining.

mining is just as bad as herbing, though it varies server to server. My current server no one asks if anyone else is mining, they just take it. Fuckers. Or they just take the ore and leave the stone.

Start a Ulduar farming ID. Soft resets take 15 minutes (I usually stay out for half an hour) and you'll have a stack of frost lotus in an hour (two if you suck or you're unlucky).

Plus all the other herbs you get out of there. Mill the garbage for inscription mats. Easy money.

because the assassination tree is bloated with a lot of PVP orientated talents like more damage in a kidney...recovery from being slowed..regenerating energy..it's these things that make it good at PVP.

i think combat is way way way better because most of it's talents have use with the typical kill x of these monsters yada yada. i'll be honest though, all you do is SS -> eviscerate and i was so bored i switched over to mutilate at lvl 50+

doesn't really matter at the end of the day but if you want speed and ease , combat is the way to go

I have druid with resto/Moonkin/feal dps/ feral tank gear. not the best gear coz I been raiding with my hunter (2T10.2 2T10 and some of the best in slow itmes next to heroic). Comes with a bunch of 80's and decent amount of gold and mats as well.

I will trade you if you have a pally. Gear doesn't have to be super good just enough to get into heroics/raids. =D

If you are looking to use the LFG to level your toon I suggest either a warrior or a druid. You can spec into prot or feral tank and get instant que. The reason I didn't suggest pally is becasue at lower level a prot pally doesn't have as much tool to work with as a tank and you will go OOM and will contiune to have mana issue till mayhbe 70lish. But warrior and druid use rage so as you get hit you build rage. Warrior get their frist AoE at lvl 6. Druid tanks do not need to worry about def raiting much since they have talents to make to make crt immune to bosses

no because if we spec into CQC for the extra 5% it would be useless because without the extra 5% crit from CQC we are already crit capped in ICC25 gear, which is why TinyAbom is BiS because it frees up our crit cap but you can also gear around other items so you can use wartoken + dbw, or whispering fan + dbw

Going fists in ICC25 gear is useless unless its the only weapon you have. Its much easier (especially with the icc buff now) to do heroic saurfang for the PRE-H LK BiS Sword and the BiS axe from heroic gunship

^^ I don't know it depends on gear you have. Top raiding boomkin don't have any talents in Mana rengen but for a fresh 80 you most likely will need it.

Thanks, do you happen to know if most locks use affliction for raiding or destruction? I also heard that demonology is a good raid spec also?

Aff is good for a movement fights. But you have to keep ur DoTs up. I don't really like how the would aff build is center around one spell though (courption). O and geming might be a bit different froma ff to destro as well (not sure though).

How is the new LFG tool? I'm so tempted to start a character right now to play casually, really just want to play through BC dungeons and stockpile some shit for when I start in Cataclysm. My friend says it's super easy to find groups for everything now, is this true at lower levels?

^the new LFG is pretty good. I'm tank/heals so I get instant ques most of the time. On my mage my ques are from 10-20mins long. When I was leveling the wait was even longer. Its good if you just que then do quests and stuff. Not really sure how long the ques are from 10-70 though.

I pull around 7-8k dps on saurfing depending if I'm lazy or not.
No 264 weapons. Only 10 man. No 25 man weapon dropped for me.
3 piece relentless 1 piece furious. 4/6 wrathful offset (not using pvp rings) 153+ resi trinket, 900 resi. 31k hp
Have a tanking set, full toc stuff I was able to tank icc25 mans up till prof as ot. 5k gs.
Also have a 80 shaman on kiljaeden. With scrubby blues/epics
Both character have epic flying.
250 for all.
Also have sc2 beta key.

almost everyone there has a mimiron head mount, zg tiger, icc 10/25 proto, uld 10/25 proto
only the rare mounts are spectral tiger and togc immortality mount
even the 25 h lk mount is floating around the guilds that killed him

its not hard to down 25 h lk on 30% buff.. its ridiculous
and gear? any pug can down lk on some servers so of course they arent worth crap

There is no new playable content. You won't be able to level until Cataclysm is released on Dec 7th. They're just getting the game ready for the expansion release. Iirc, there are 2 more large patches, the last one being an event that starts the sundering (I could be mistaken though, may be thinking of another game). I'll look it up on MMO-Champion later.
