What servers do you guys play on now and how fast can I get to 85 cap assuming I am starting a new character? (forgot my login and password before the merge...)

best way to lvl to 85 imo is grind/quest to 45 and do random bg til 80and quest again if u have no heirloom. convert all honor point til u cap out justice points and cap out honor again as sokn as uhit 85 u can buy epics lol

^^ or get your lvl 85 to farm JC points for BoA and if your guild level is high enough u can also get BoA with your guild too.

It also helps if your class can heal or tank then you can do dungeons quicker. I would said start doing dungones around 60lish since BC and Warth dungeons is pretty short.

They brought back the year subscription which seems like a pretty good deal but not sure if i'd even play for a whole year.

If you've got a friend that's already playing get them to recruit you. 3x exp up until 80 now.. roll a tank or healer and just run instances all day long and you'll hit it in no time.

When it was 3x to 60, it took my friend and I a couple of days doing instanes and questing to hit 60.

I went back in with a 10 day trial, and got to level 3X. Rolled a druid this time. I should've done this a long time ago. This way, I get to do tanking, healing, range DPS, melee DPS all in one character instead of the 4-5 characters I created.. @_@

I got back into game mostly only to play the holidays. It's actually a bit more fun to just play and not care about leveling. I leveled one main to 90. My 2nd Main I haven't really started leveling to 90. Actually playing my lvl 78 rogue sort of just messing around.

The Pet Battle system is fun. I just wish the list could be sorted by level.

I don't think I'll ever have an experience as unique and sentimental for the rest of my life as I did with this game. The way you trusted in people you've never met with such blind faith, how some of your closest friends at one point were guildmates you spent hours everyday talking to, and the simple yet powerful nostalgia that EVERYONE and ANYONE who had the opportunity to play this amazing game, at the time that I did, can understand so very well.

I don't think I'll be coming back. As addicting a drug as you were, I've outgrown you. But I'll always remember you with the fondest of memories, knowing that I don't regret a single moment.

As you might expect, the biggest news out of the BlizzCon keynote was kept for last: World of Warcraft is getting a new expansion that raises the level cap to 100. It’s called Warlords of Draenor, and while Metzen didn’t bother to announce an actual release date he did take time to point out that this expansion introduces a new world to explore, new character models, and a new garrison system that lets players build their own strongholds on Draenor and recruit NPCs to hang out inside. You’ll be able to accept missions based on your stronghold, and you customize what bonuses the stronghold affords you based on the buildings you construct.

If you’re a former World of Warcraft player, don’t worry; Blizzard wants you back, and they’re willing to let you promote one character to level 90 right away via the “Call to Arms” feature so you have a reason to pick up the expansion.

Blizzard has announced Warlords of Draenor, the next expansion for World of Warcraft.

A video shown at BlizzCon 2013 revealed new character models and gave us a glimpse of Draenor, the expansion's new area which consists of seven zones. Newcomers can boost one of their characters to level 90 immediately, explore six new 5-player dungeons and hit up new raids (two are planned for launch), join a new "seamlessly instanced" PvP zone, fight new world bosses, and find new rewards on their way to the new level cap of 100. Characters from Warcraft's past, including Grommash Hellscream, Blackhand, and Ner'zhul, will be encountered throughout.

Amid hundreds of new quests, players will be able to build and upgrade their own customizable Garrison, as well as recruit NPC followers who can be used to collect resources and complete quests. Among the possible upgrades for the Garrison are a barracks (allows more followers to be sent on missions at the same time), an infirmary (heals followers more quickly between missions), an inn (attracts new followers), and a blacksmith (who researches new plans and crafts resources). Friends can visit each others' Garrisons, where they'll then be able to trade resources with each other.

To help players who are new to the game or haven't played in some time and decide to boost to 90, Draenor will offer an introductory area comparable to the one for Death Knights at the beginning of Wrath of the Lich King. The boost can be used on new or existing characters and will grant character some level-appropriate items to get started.

"We know that many of you already strongly identify with the look of your current character, so we're dedicating a lot of time and resources to make sure these updates capture each race's iconic identity and personality," Blizzard said of the newly enhanced character models. "We're still in the process of determining which races will be available upon the expansion's release, but our goal is to update all eight of the original World of Warcraft playable races, along with the Draenei and Blood Elves, over the course of the expansion launch and subsequent content updates."

The graphics engine as a whole will be getting updated, too. No specifics were announced on that front, but Blizzard says it will be announcing the exact system requirements once the expansion is closer to release.

The expansion set is scheduled for an unspecified time in 2014.

You can keep playing with your character from burning crusade! I can pass you a scroll of res and that way you can boost your character to 80 and get a free ugprade to cata. That way all you'll need to do is buy Pandaria which is $10 right now

No physical stores are doing midnight release that I know of, not enough peopleare buying physical copies according to the guys at EB I talked to. Also it's cheaper to get it off the blizz store. $10 less for the standard version and $30 less for Deluxe. I returned my EB pre-order and got it off the site last night.

I know for just about every expansion after WOTLK once max level was reached first thing I did was try to solo the content from the last expansion.

With the new changes after the stat squish. At lvl 90 you can solo a lot of the lvl 85 end game stuff. Which is pretty cool.

Go run lvl 100 MC before its over.

On Korgath it is currently 22k, I just checked like 2 days ago with my "starter" lvl 20 twink toon. Got ~ 470k in gold so that is close to 2 yrs worth of game time but still did not get the "itch" to play again even after trying the lvl 20 AV...

Maybe with the next xpac (like how i skipped cata and only came back for panda)

It's about 22k on Kil'Jaeden as well. Don't have enough to last me 2 years though :( I resubbed and going to see how hard it is to make that a month. Or maybe join SkinnyPup on that private server. Seems like a better way to get that WoW fix haha.

They have XP cranked way up, so you can level pretty quick. I leveled from 1 to 55 in a couple hours, then started a DK and boosted it to 90 using some free coins I had (their version of in-app purchases)

Servers can be kind of buggy though (I'm on the MoP server - they have a WoD server but it's even worse), and my ping is like 300. Not sure how long I'll keep playing. Being so far behind in PVP gear (most people pay real money to gear up) really sucks. I last like 10 seconds in arena...

My guess is that since WOD and later the WoW Token released some of the smaller bot farming gold sellers may have gone out of business. On one of the WoW groups on Facebook it seems a huge chunk of them have 6 figures of gold on their accounts. Adding this to the lack of content and lots of folks not liking WoD in general and there you go.

Tokens are around 30K+ on some servers

I havent event got WoD. I'll pick it up when it goes on sale close to the release of the next one.

IMO I think the worst expansion in terms of fun is WoLK. I mean is cool you get to kill LK himself but overall the class damage, tanks HP, Healers MP was out of hand. As a tank I shouldn't be able to have over 200k HP and as a healer I should be going OOM if my teams did something bad. But that wasn't the case I could spam heals all day and never go OOM (Resto Druid). And doing over50K damage? I think the only thing blizzard did back then was make it so boss have more HP, Does more damage by add DoTs to everyone in the raid and that's it.

Haven't play for over 2 years.

I think one of the biggest change to look forward to in Legion is the new pvp system.

PVP specific skills tree and talent.

Wow always been a mess with class balance. If they buff/nerf a skills in PVP, it might get overpower or be useless in PVE.
The new pvp system will change that.

with trinkets and one of the abilites that increase your HP and fully buff. I was a bear tank back then. With a PVP trinket it increase my HP with bleesing of the kings, HP buff from Priest, Mark of the wild and I remember there was a sill that increase my HP.

started playing again on the Chinese servers after a 5 year leave. Been just doing arenas on my monk and stuck around the 2700 bracket. Cant get to R1 3000. Still farmers here, they sell gold but mostly get run you through heroic of mythic raids for a fee on gear and mounts.

If you want to experience some of the WoD raids before Legion then that's probably the only thing you'd be gearing up for now. Most expansions you replace your gear with a lot of the first few quests.

Playing on Blade's Edge now. Made a DH seems fun and OP but then that's the same with every new class then gets nerf to the ground.

BTW if you are allience you will see Varian die if you play any class other than DH. On the Horde side you will see pretty much all the horde leaders expect Sylvans. That's what I call spoilers.

I boots a pally then realize they suck lol. Boosts a mage again (paid) then realize how squshy they are. Some people say Disc priest is pretty good same with Shammy.

I guess realms aren't that big of an issue now too right? I've been looking into it a bit more and seems that you're instanced with different realms like in Tanaan and Timeless Isles.

Seems like guilds are the biggest thing that is realm dependant.

I've been enjoying my paladin as a tank, going to be Prot/Holy this expansion instead of ret.

Yea they did have instance cross realm but they also have zone cross realm now too. You had to be partied to actually be cross realm zones though unless you were in Timeless Isle in MoP and Tanaan right? Now it's just completely cross realm.

Looks like they nerfed the amount of exp you get per invasion but 3 spawn every 2 hours. You get more exp over 4 hours now but you have to do 6 instead of just 2.

So close to hitting 100 on one of my chars from 82 just from invasions lol

leveling through invasions is great again. You just have to tag the mob to get experience. I've been getting a level in about 15-20minutes. Was going to boost my priest but figured might as well take advantage of this.

Level 72 from 60 after just a couple hours lol.

If you're doing this, just log in and out at the beginning of stage 3 or 4(depending if you want to fly around killing the other named bosses). You can also join a party and just get the exp that everyone else is tagging. It's super fast and easy.

Invasions are the burning legion coming to Azeroth, you kill them and get loot. Takes about 10-20 minutes depending on how sizable the group is and how many of them are just sitting in the air instead of helping. Stages are as follows:

Stage 1: Kill demons in the zone’s primary town or village
Stage 2: Kill demonic lieutenants and their commander in that village
Stage 3: Spread out to tackle small objectives throughout
Stage 4: Return to town to defeat the invasion’s boss

Legion's been great so far. Love the new zones and quest lines. Level scaling makes it so you don't really have to do it any specific order, just choose what area you want to finish and everything scales as you level.

No queues at all on Kil'Jaeden either, probably one of the smoothest launches

I playo n thrall now. Level the sammy to lvl 105 just hate it. Not saying is bad but the self heal you get with ench/ele just suck balls. Went back to prot pally and god I can take on 6 mobs and came out with 80% hp. I think I am going main port pally not sure if I should go for holy or ret. Holy went through a ton of changes. Prot is the same thing press things when is off CD and move out of shit.

After lengion and is crap AP grinding, major unbalance (You have to admit there is something wrong when a druid tank can tank a lot of boss mechanics alone when normally requires 2 tanks), Port warrior got the nerf bat and never recover, then Fire mage, DH.

The whole artflict weapon systems seems great on paper but is meh. Legendaries drops is so random and some class/spec literally need legendaries to perform.
