Broodlord is easy and so is the supressor room. Just stay on the right side and make sure your mages and warlocks are ready for some nice AoE fun.

Ebonroc like I said is just aggro managment. When your MT gets the debuff, get warriors to taunt so they can steal aggro then DPS his ass down. If he heals, it will be a longer fight but still doable. OOC a must.

Flamegore make sure your hunters are in a tranq shot rotation. They will Frenzy fast so make sure your hunters are all healed up and ready. Aggo again is a pain (well before 1.8, havnt faced him since) so make sure hunters FD whenever it is up. If done right, he is the easiest Boss in the zone.

Our MT had 9900 HP during that fight with just a flask. We did it again without the flask a week later so we know it's not necessary but...well...

...flask cost < repair cost of one wipe.

He's pretty easy. Just make sure all the melee are close to each other and all the ranged/healers don't pull agro. Easy fight but it's real slow.

I think the expansion is moving in the wrong direction.. simply raising the lvl cap and putting higher lvl instances in is just gonna perpetuate the already growing complaint that the endgame of WoW is too mundane and like a job..

I think it would've been more beneficial to implement hybrid classes in the form of hero classes:

ie. Have a number of quests for any player who wants to obtain a subclass..

ie. a Rogue who wants a hybrid warrior build... chooses a talent tree of protection and upon completion of the quest or quests is enabled to wear plate and has a rage bar that is at 50% of the total..

or a warrior combined with a mage subclass could become an elementalist of sorts..

rogue combined with a priest= monk
rogue combined with a hunter following surival spec tree: ranger
hunter combined with a warrior = lancer

I know it all sounds so similar to FF11 style.. but with Blizzards ingenuity and their currently well implemented system of physics and gameplay it'd far surpass that of final fantasy.

Combinations of other classes single talent trees and enabling classes to use items they previously couldnt.. if they decide to..



it would make for hundreds of unique combinations and add a new dimension to the gameplay.. and create more variety instead of the:

ice/arcane spec for MC
holy spec paladins for MC
holy spec priests for MC


but then again this is just my ramblings hehe

I agree with Skinny. Mages are ridiculous, they're useful in any scenario and they can handle most classes 1v1. The people who are bitching about being mages are just bad players, imo.

My big gripe with WoW is that the design for paladins, shamans and priests was done by a dummy. The other classes fit their niche, these 3 are odd ones out. Priests are too offensive oriented, they could have been more creative with shamans when it comes to shock spells, and paladins imho are retarded, they made a gimp class then figured "fuck, lets just give them two shields, that'll balance it out"

That's not true. Pick up the talisman from MC and the one from ZG and you've got some retarded mage that can toss a 4000 point fireball, or worse, a Warlock who can hit for 10,000 :P

If your argument is that "not every mage has access to mc or zg" then it works both ways. Warriors without MC or ZG have a doomsaw or arcanite reaper, rogues get barman shankers. Nothing to brag about, really.

Mages are a different class than dps melee altogether, they are probably the most versatile in the game other than druids. They have a number of offensive spells, instas, snares, roots, a mez and the ability to escape stuns and put space between themselves and would be attackers. Mages are INCREDIBLY powerful 1v1 and against groups. You can counterspell a druid and sheep a priest while you and your teammates tear into a group. I dont need to list anymore, if you've played a mage to 60 you should know this.

there is ALLOT more epic items for melee classes pre=mc and bwl then there are any mage items that will bring them on par. krol blade for rogues, arcanite reaper like u said for warriors or even stuff like destiny or brain hacker which are easy enough to get on the AH.

theres also big problems with spell resistance, expecially in PVP. people with the right gear ie. anti fire or frost will just own a mage. and there are FEW very FEW items for mages end end end game that will make there dps anywhere near the warriors/hunters/rogues dps in MC raids. if u have ran MC u will notice that mages are usually in the middle or bottom for damage.

so while u raid MC bosses and pick up a wicked purple weapon or armor for that matter the mage is left with a staff that adds 30 intel and 30 spirit WOOT! oh dont forget the +20 to spells also.....

i dont play a mage either but i see there concerns, read the WoW mage board its all SPAMMED with it. basically in the game the deeper u go the weaker the mage class or casters in general get. try fighting a warrior decked out in MC gear vs a mage that has there tier 2 set. the warrior will be WAAAYYY more powerful

I know what you're trying to say, but you're wrong.

I've got a 60 warrior and a 60 druid and I've been playing my friend's 60 mage for weeks. The mage is definitely the hardest to play, but it's by far the most powerful. The warrior and druid were both in a guild that can get Nef to phase 2, I've been 3rd in the dps list in mc, below a rogue and a mage, that's my best. Any mage that loses to any warrior in a duel is a bad mage, I'm sorry but that's just the truth of the matter. What's more, as a mage you can never really "lose" to any class aside from druids or possibly warlocks, you can escape by sheeping and running away.

No way a rogue can keep a mage stunlock either. Even just with decent PVP gears, a mage can never be killed 1 on 1 if he can time his barrier correctly.

A mage can lose to a priest with dots also. But again, the barrier can dispell dots can't it? Then after getting out of barrier, polymorph and run :D

It is all theorycraft. A fury/arms warrior should be able to tear up the mage. It all just depends on how 'skilled' each dueler is.

Exactly, if you think you're going to lose, you can always just run.

HKS, it's not all theorycraft. I've killed many mages in group fights, and I've killed several 1v1. When it comes down to it though, a good mage will always beat an equally skilled/geared warrior. It's just a matter of not doing something dumb. If you're a frost mage, the warrior will never even be in striking range, if you're fire/arcane, you'll be able to kill him so fast after you sheep him that it's not a worry. The two talisman trinkets just seal the deal, they arent even necessary.

I find that mages are definately powerful, and shouldn't really lose to a warrior 1 vs 1. Although, if they are both geared from MC and BWL it will be a close match if the warrior isn't protection specc'd. Shadow Priest > Mage :P

Your gear is horrible, that's why your opinion is skewed. It's MUCH easier for me to murder a priest than a mage, as a warrior. Hell, I was MS/fury spec and I could kill a priest with two daggers.

My 5 point coldblood evis was only able to damage this mage to around half the hp of this PVP mage. (He had like 4k hp with the PVP gear.) There was no way I could kill him even when I used preparation to pull out another 5 point CB eviscerate.

PVP gears add shitloads of hp.

I personally have no problem fighting warriors. I am a Shadow / Disc Priest. I have Prophecy and Trans pieces. only have around 4200 life buffed and around 9000 mana (more than the average bear). If I am fighting a warrior MC & BWL geared, I just have to kite them as best I can. If they get the charge off on me it's almost GG me, if they don't get a charge / intercept off, no contest for me. Hunters are a bitch for me for the most part now though.

Yep, HKS is correct. That lifegiving gem is fucking annoying against a mage. I have both trinkets/AP and my frostbolts do about 2800+ and still MS warrior duels goes 50/50 for me . Only class that gives mages' problems 100% of the time though is a warlock.

Just so you know, HKS was talking about warriors with improved intercept. You can't have improved intercept AND mortal strike. You have to pick one or the other.

What usually works out is that Mages rape warriors that are NOT fury/arms spec.

But a good fury/arms warrior with trinkets should be able to beat the mage in a duel.

For pvp situational, it would go to whoever spots who first.

Most of us are on Kilrogg horde side and don't roll shaman, hunter, or rogue. There are too many of them and it is unlikely you will get into a big raiding guild.

I rolled a new alt, because lineups on my server are too long to get into BG, and I don't play at the same time of a lot of people so there aren't many good raids going on.

I have to say, Priests are absolute grinding machines. I get NO downtime whatsoever - usually after killing one mob close to my level, I have full health and mana. So you can just keep grinding and grinding with no downtime. With crowd control, you can take on up to 3 mobs with 'yellow' levels - only then will you have to break for mana regen.

I've gotten to level 25 after one day of play. Priests rule! :lol

I already have a Druid at 60, so I have no problem getting into raids. In fact, I think overall a druid can be a clutch player for when things screw up (IE a bad pull or whatever). They may not be as good a tank as warriors, or good DPS as rogues and mages, or good healers as holy priests, but they can fit into so many awkward situations, that I find myself pulling off some pretty incredible things during instances. Like when we 5-manned Scholo without a warrior :D

Yeah they're in my server. But they recently transfered due to overwhelming lag and queue times to get in the server. Good friends with Onyx their MT actually.

Good thing I hit rank 14 before they started to PvP. After they downed nef (second guild to do so I believe) they got bored of PvE I guess. Those guys are scary when they run organized BG runs and finishing ABs in less 5 mins hording massive amounts of honor in the process. :(

I run the Horde PVP team on Kilrogg...mostly guild guys but we stop all but the best PVP team on the Alliance in 5 minutes. It gets rather boring in AB.

Yeah they were known from their EQ days. Indalamaar was a sick warrior. But I think he moved tot he westcoast so he has slowed down playing with Nurfed.

The biggest thing about MC/BWL is that people must follow instructions. ie: If mages think they're going to be heros of the day by nuking instead of decursing, you're doomed. The encounters are all known, everyone knows exactly how to do them, it's all about having everyone in a raid doing exactly what they're supposed to be doing and not taking a pee break, spamming emotes, or other general retardation.

In order to fully appreciate the game...I'd suggest getting at least 1gb of ram before playing. I played it on 512mb ram and it would constantly chop when I was in Org or anywhere that had a lot of pvp action. After upping my ram to 1.2gb everything was smooth and it made a huge difference.

its been 2 patches. im still using the old mortal strike spec and .. that 2h axe everyone wanted, i dont even remember what it's called. the blue one, that's made by a weapon smith.

Tanking is all about gear. One of our main tanks is mortal strike specced and is a good a tank as any.

He's on vacation and I have his account info. Goddamn...I went to SM and agroed like 30 mobs and just wasted them all with Thunderfury.

I was the so called most dangerous warrior on alliance stonemaul, pure arms/fury, best gear (at the time) etc.

Looking back on it now and seeing how the warrior class is progressing, I woulnd't play a warrior unless I was planning to be one of the main tanks in raids. Warriors are not what they once were.

Did you know that mortal strike originally did 250% weapon damage, your target could NOT heal (at all) and there was no cooldown timer? Warriors have been going down a path towards tanking and DOT, burst damage is dissappearing very very quickly. While it's not the way I'd like to see one of the more fun classes go, I think I can agree that it's better for the game as a whole if warriors aren't able to two shot most classes (as I once was able).

im not in for the end game raid stuff, i just wanna beable to take players out for fun. raid stuff is boring man. hours of.. just.. i duno it's boring.

if the warrior and rogue are both in full best DPS gear. Only problem is that the warrior has no ability to lose aggro, but if he does take aggro, he can tank for a little bit until he dies or a tank warrior grabs it back.

i dont care about losing aggro. haha if i die in the heat of battle, even if i only get one or two swings out, then its a good death, plus ill just respawn within 30seconds to 5min anyways.

like the russians during world war II, i only go forward, even if it's to my death. if i turn around, i might as well die.

Even in raids a DPS warrior dual wielding fury/arms spec can out dps rogues

My warrior is built 100% for PVP and 0% for PvE. Get the ice barbed spear from AV, its just as good as arcanite reaper.
