Finnally figured out the problem with my heater fan only working on full or just being off... Turns out it was a capacitor that had a bad solder joint on my Final Stage Unit(more commonly known as a 'Sword'), so I re-soldered it and now she works like new!! wow what a horrible week its been, going from having like one speed of boiling hot heat to having nothing (mosfet power transistor blew-up) and now to having it all work like new because of one stupid thing! Oh well atleast I didnt have to go the the Stealer and pay like 150$ or more... Heres some pics... (Sorry bout the size on the first one.) This is the Final Stage Unit (aka 'The Sword' [kinda self-explanitory of why its called that..]) http://www.bimmerboard.com/members/s..._sideshot2.jpg The red things on the board are the capacitors that werent soldered properly. (Ignore the arrow pointing to the relay.) http://www.bimmerboard.com/members/s...word_relay.jpg |

I love the silverstar bulbs, I'm running H1's tho my highbeams suck but that'll only be till i get the 100w highbeams... |
im still debating between HIDs or not. |
If your gunna do HID's, from the research i've found, do an OEM setup, dont use an aftermarket ballast. Since your OBC will think the bulbs are burnt out because of how it checks them. (Atleast this is how mine would work with an aftermarket one) (Also makes it plug and play instead of hack and play) And yours is probably easier to find, even tho if you do find a set of 2 lemme know cause I just want the projectors, bulbs and ballasts. |
^^ I fully agree with you and Ive been saying that since day one. my car came stock with OEM Hella HIDs, so why would I hack together an Ebay HID setup? not to mention a hack together setup produces terrible beam patterns. http://www.eurosportdesign.com/e39_xenon.htm vs http://www.eurosportdesign.com/e39_halogen.htm from all my research, ESD offers both the best quality (OEM) for the best price. theres other aftermarket angel eye companies for cheaper, but the quality is low. Im not ricing a civic, so why skimp? |
EXACLTY!! I wish I would of talked to you about the HID shit before! I wouldnt of been ramming my head into a wall for months! |

SOOOOO choked! Parked my car downtown last night, and I guess some fucking 300 lb guy got pushed onto my hood. there's a HUGE dent..goes down prolly 3 inches. The paint is cracked and the hood is kinked right where the engine is...what a fucking waste of $300. |
