Tchleung 04-21-2006 05:40 PM

Nice car craig! now ditch the ECU link with the 5th injector and get EMS and larger injectors! :D

Mod of the, last night:

Tuned Shanes SC civic to redline and now it runs a steady mid to high 11:1 in boost. She runs good for a conservative tune and conservative timing.

AzN_ignite 04-22-2006 01:10 PM

good stuff tommy, thumbs up

instead of being lazy today on my day off i woke up early, did a oil change, new honda MTF, washed and waxed

fukamoto 04-22-2006 02:02 PM

That IS my old car :)

The car was babied...the original owner was my sister, and she sold it to me....2001 miata with 45000km...i had it for a year..boosted it with a mp62 charger and its a super fun ride. only reason i sold it is because my bro-in-law is the sales manager at nissan and he got a trade-in for a sti for a z. i got the sti at DIRT cheap and they wanted my miata fully loaded and i tried to haggle on price. at the end, canem, the whoelsaler, took the car with everything on it minus my rays lug nuts, defi gauge...

craig, you'll love the car :)
www.brperformance.com look out for the new VVT controlled piggyback called "ELF - Emissions Legal Fueling". It'll bring up about 15whp as well as give you 5th injector control, detects ambient temperatures immediately on startup, and gets rid of "idle dip" and such. www.miata.net is a great place to read up on as there are a TON of BRP MP62 owners. as for the mods on the car...it also includes a J&S knocksensor unit which was put in "just incase"...

I agree with G2teggin ;) My plans were to ditch the piggyback, go with a Hydra and larger injectors...

Only poo things about the 2001 is that it is VVT (has had problems with getting the same amount of power from S/c as other miatas), it requires minimum 91 gas, even on stock...

You might want to look fora Torsen LSD as well...atyways, you have my # if you have any issues man.

I hope you like the car as much as I still do. I might pick up a Miata next year, the first gen, and mod it up. Its a easy car to maintain and build :)

New u-joint and yoke for my driveshaft, got it balanced on the lathe and then coated in rust inhibitor (so it looks sexy black)
